Just thinking about last year about this time we were abuzz about the fall CED meet.
Is there gonna be one this year?

 

Already had it but was hosted at performance autowerks this year

 

HMMM, how can you have a CED meet at Autowerks ?

 

It was held there because they have a dyno in house

 

So the next meet for the group is in 2011?

yes the fall ced meet was held a performance autowerks due to tom not wanting to deal with idiots and mobile dynos anymore. we have one in house at werks that supports all fwd rwd and awd platforms. so tom decided the werks and ced should team up.

 

Well ok, sorry I missed it.
I`d been checking this region and never saw any mention of a meet, but if it was under the Chicago Ecotec banner, that`s probably the reason why.
Maybe the spring meet will have it`s own thread.
But what`s that about idiots? Last fall`s meet we were inside and there was no incidents that I`m aware of.
Everyone who come to the meets don`t necessarily want to dyno. I for one just like to check out the rides and see what mods people have done.
Astronomical horsepower with a 65mph speedlimit don`t mix well(not for very long anyways).

 

tom had issues with getting a mobile dyno for the summer meet. thats what i was referring to. they gave him the run around and hense why there was no mobile dyno. tom wanted to do a dyno to make up for the summer meet and thats why it was held at werks.

your right not everyone wants to dyno but there are some that do. so dyno or not its about cars. we supplied a lunch for $2 which included burgers and drinks for all. keep up with the chicago ecotecs thread or get over to the other site where pretty much everyone has gone. i run the chicago ecotec site over there and am a lot more imvolved over there as far as meets and stuff go.
