Im going as long is it doesnt rain. I havent decided if im going to race or not. It all depends if my tune gets here before friday.

 

i'm going................but in my mustang, i don't think my ss/sc cobalt is deserving of a track trip just yet since its still stock (just bought it)................but that is changing soon.

 

Yea, if I wasnt going to be in Chicago, I would be there.

Hey the ss/sc even modded wont run faster then a 14 flat, unless you get a 2.7 pulley/60#'s and full exhaust, stage II wont cut it thats for sure....Gateway sucks *****. There are only 4 of us that have ran 13's around here and that is really sad, and we all had low 13 second trap speeds, 105+. But only 2 Cobalts ran a low 13 second pass and should have been in the high 12's, but gateway is shitty. Last night i went 15.00@103!!!! w/2.80 60ft! Midnight madness will suck if the weather is the same....

 

well i got my part in the mail today so I will definitely be running the stang. Sucks to hear the 'balt is that slow at gateway! And holy sh## 2.8 60 fts??? DAMN. I'm going to run the stang and its my first time at the track with the new combo, hoping to hit 12.XX@108-110 on the motor. Not sure on nitrous, probably going to leave the bottle at home.

 

Man alot of LS1's couldnt even break into the 1.9 60ft range it was so cold....Hopefully it is better tommorow though. Good luck with your new setup, my brother just sold his 95 KB blown cobra with a built motor, he is on STLmustangs, 95WhiteCobra, he is buying an 07 Cobra this summer and it will be his 7th Mustang, he is the reason i hate Fords, haha.

 

Funny, cuz my brother was the reason I USED to hate ford, LOL. He always had mustangs and I always had firebirds/camaro's till one day I bought a ford and realized how much easier it was to go faster. I'm probably one of the most unbiased people out there, I've had a modded out 900 turbo saab running 20 pounds of boost, I've had several hondas, a twin turbo 92 GT mustang, a 383 stroked Formula Firebird, a g body early 80's grand prix with a big block caddilac 500 in it, a chevy vega with a 350 and a powerglide, ahhh the list goes on forever...............oh and I ride bikes as well. Gsxr 1000............ZX-11........yzf600. holy crap I just realized how many vehicles I've owned so far. DAYUM.

 

i raced a few times last night and i couldnt get any decent times at all. My best was a 16.82. Besides the fact, i won 3 out of 4 times so that's all that matters. I lost once to this tiberon GT. That thing smoked me. Keep in mind though, i dont have my tune yet. Hopefully it gets here monday. That will help alot.
