Midwest Ecotec: Discussion
We should all pitch in for FREE CANDY sticker, what do you guys say?
He probably meant mine.
Would any of you guys who still have fully stock suspension be willing to give me a ride around a block?
I have a feeling my shocks are a bit tired from Eibach springs as the car feels rather underdamped.
Also, anybody has Stance installed?
He probably meant mine.

I'm sure they are worn from the eibachs somewhat. But remember sportlines don't make you the turbocharged models handle better. And also he's talking about a stock turbocharged suspension.I have stances on my car

AMS is expensive, don't EVER take your car there. They DO NOT do good work on entry level cars. We fix SO many of their cars like the SRTs. If you have an Evo, and anything more expensive, they are great.
^^^agreed. i will say this from my personal experiance...AMS WILL ONLY TALK TO YOU AND DO GOOD WORK FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE DEEP POCKETS. if you dont then dont waste your time. ive personally seen them blow up a customers car on the dyno and have also seen numerous parts of their fail. idc if their shop cars run 8's or 9's...believe me if you had a shop car with your name on it would you spend hours and tons of money making sure that every single aspect of the car was top notch and nothing will go wrong? i believe so. ams will do amazing work if you have the money to pay for it but if you are trying to get a deal or get the wrong guy building your parts believe me you will soon see the other side to that shop. i work for nos who use to sponsor them. they dropped the sponsorship because they kept needing money for their cars.
like i said their work sucks for people that go in there on a budget and try building a car without doing it the wrong way. they will just slap parts on your car and not give a **** weather or not it blows up instead of guiding you in a direction you should be going in.
like i said if you have deep pockeys to pay their 104 dollar an hour mechanical and fabrication rates by the ams book hour then by all means get work done their. if you try skimping out i wouldnt count on good work from them.
i dont really believe in looking at shop cars as a mile marker for work thats done on customers cars either. like i said they dont nickel and dime on shop cars because they are show casing their shop. theres a reason you dont see your average ethusiast guys or typical guys that want a badass fast ride trying to top ams's turbo builds. its simply because no one can afford to build them right and keep them from blowing up.
