Yeah IL is gay I've been pulled over a few times for MODDED EXHAUST, but every time so far I just got a warning. Suposively your exhaust is suppose to be no louder than the way it came off the assembly line. When I asked the officer why GM offered a different exhaust then if it's illegal he just replied just cuz a store sells something doesn't mean it's legal. I just simply replied ok cuz I was be let go with just a warning and didn't want to upset him. A buddy of mine was pulled over for his exhaust and simply went to court and showed the judge the package where it stsated it was 50 state legal. The judge just dismissed it and replied that it was a stupid law and should be eliminated.

Generally any light coming off the front of the car must be white, or very close to it, or amber in any state.

(b) All other motor vehicles shall exhibit at least 2 lighted head lamps, with at least one on each side of the front of the vehicle, which satisfy United States Department of Transportation requirements, showing white lights, including that emitted by high intensity discharge (HID) lamps, or lights of a yellow or amber tint.......
I think it's pretty clear cut why you got pulled over. Your lights are not white, amber, or yellow. Case closed.
Or maybe the real reason was because you were DWB.

First point - Technically the HID's are legal, Practically they are NOT due to the fact that you converted from Halogen to HID.
I've had 8000K HID's in my car for over 4 years and I've not gotten ONE single ticket or warning.

Second point - Pink is ghey j/k
