Just a couple thoughts: With a meet this size and some out-of-towners would it help to seperate into a few groups each with a lead car that knows the area/route? Maybe scaring up a few 2-way radios/cb's wouldn't hurt. maybe this is overkill but we wouldn't want anyone to go MIA.

Yea, I usually have 2 talkies in my car, they will be in use for sure. If you have one, I suggest you bring it.

I've got a pair of Midland cheapies-they're ok for a mile or so depending on terrain, etc.

The main reason I thought of seperate groups is if we encounter stoplights 30 some-odd cars ain't gonna make it; especially if they all have to be in the same lane to make a turn. If the first guy to miss the light is from BF Egypt he might be like -a lead car could pull over and wait for them. Just thinking out loud.

traffic law hotline. i pay $50 for the lawyer and then he turns it into a no-point violation which can cost anywhere from $80-$250 depending on the original ticket.

the only prob with groups is to much work for too little time to decide leaders, and what happens if a leader gets lost? then the whole group goes under. if we could get some decent radios and program them all to the same channel have 4 radios. 1 for the leader, 1 for the last person in line, and 2 for in between. the last person can be responsible for making sure noone falls out of line.

Go into court for your ticket. When you get called up to the bench ask the judge if you can have court supervision to keep the points off your license. Sometimes you don't even have to goto traffic school. When I lived in Chicago I loved the fact that as long as you didn't get more than 1 ticket every 6 months you could ask for supervision and most of the time the judge will grant it. The city doesn't care if you get points or not, they just want you to pay the fine so they get the money.

Deciding leaders isn't a problem. There are usually 3 or 4 guys who actually know what is going on and know the area, so they typically lead anyways. Radios are great, but still less effective then simply using a cell phone (which everyone has nowdays).

On the envelope that he gave you there is an option to do traffic school and it tells you how much it is and all.. And if you do go to traffic school when a cop pulls you over the next time and looks at your record he doesnt see anything there so youre clear. **** ive been to 8 hours traffic schools. They suck but i have nothing on me
