J-Body Northwest and The Arizona J-Body Organization have teamed up and are looking at organizing a West Coast version of the JBO's (www.j-body.org) GM Tuner Bash.

I know that plenty of people have mentioned over the years that having it on the east coast seems to alienate all of us out here in the good ol' West.

As of right now, the 2 locations that are of interest are either Salt Lake City, UT or Las Vegas, NV. Options are being weighed as we speak and a final location decision should be made soon.

The estimated time frame for this is scheduled to be around October.

At first, it was going to be limited to J-Bodies only (mirroring the "old-school" Bash styles). However, it was decided to open this up to all GM small cars. This was done to promote diversity among the GM communities, as well as try to make this something worthwhile for everyone.

This is just a fact finding or feeler post as of now, but could soon turn into a "Are you coming post", Im posting it on behalf of the "Organizing parties in JBNW and AZJBO and like to hear any thoughts on a meet/ race event of this size and scale.

i like the idea i used to be a member of jbo and i did the 01 - 03 - 04 bashes and it was a blast i would have did the 05 but i diddnt have my cav's anymore or my balt when they switched it to the gm small car bash.

please keep me posted on this i want to see this take off

First **** Utah...really I cant go back to that state lol but ill make a drive to vegas a gool ol 9-10 hrs from me. I think this is posted in the wrong forum....

 

Yeha everyone in JBNW has wanted to attend the Bash but couldnt justify driving 30 hours to a GM meet, no matter how big so this is our answer to it. Weve got lots of J-body groups in on this and have organizers ready to begin planning just need to finalize the location. Wich in my opinion should be Vegas, not Utah.

Soon Ill post some more detail, very soon as we are shooting for the Meet to happen this OCT. not next year. LOL

 

Well it looks like we have a final vote on the location, and very due to poular demand, its Las Vegas!!

Hey, If its worth the travel time myself and a Bud will do it in 23 Hours to Vegas.

And if its it vagas, Navada we will be ready to go somewhere warm for a few days.
