Ok, couple questions guys. How much does it usually cost to have it done professionally? If I don't have much experience doing it, should I even try to do it myself? Also, I know they've lightened up on tinting laws in Illinois, but I can't seem to find a whole lot of solid information as to what the legal limits are, so that information would be great. Also, for those of you who have tinted your windows, what % did you go with and what would you say is the best to go with?

 

mine came with the car but the receipt was in the glove box and it was $250 Canadian. The tint on my 08 Cobalt SS Turbo coupe is SOOOOOO Illegal. The look is out of this world cause my car is black as well but I sure hope I dont get caught........If I ever do im going to say that it came this way from the factory and that the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) can write the ticket to GM hahahaha.

I know in Ontario at least, cops will take your drivers license and put it on the other side of the tinted window and if they can't make out your license.........your dead meat!!!

 

i just got mine done for about 200$ and i got the 35% which is the legal limit here in ct. i wish i went just a little bit darker but hey im legal haha. and NO you should NOT do it yourself

it was 159 when i did it in florida... and if your gonna TRY to do it yourself use some good ****... 3m or something.. u dont wanna none of that cheap **** that turns purple...
