DroptopPaul: Can you give us an update on the progress of the meet? Last I remember reading it was canned for being at mid-ohio becasue it wouldn't be open in time and was possibly going to be at Dragway 42? Dates are still the same?

 

just to let you guys know. if theres any racing going on at dragway 42 they only do 1/8th mile times which sucks but they car record 1/4 mile. i dont know if i can go cuz of my surgey is comin up soon. but ill keep everyone in mind and its not to far from me.

absolutely! Event is still on, and I heard how excited everyone is about it EVEN IN CANADA at their JCO bash. We will be racing at dragway 42 as opposed to mansfield motor speedway since MMS cancelled construction (I have a few choice 4 letter words about that deal but whatever)

Toledo guys...there's some people comin down from michigan FOR SURE...I'll see if they want to join up or if they're gonna stick to just their club.

Turnout is looking to be over 100 cars, which is AWESOME. I can't wait guys, don't miss out on this. SURE to be a great time

suppose we are willing to pay for a hotel, pay for the bash, take time off of work, etc. and it gets cancelled again like last year. who will be responsible for reimbursing us?

I would definitely come if it's actually happening. Ohio's not TOO far out of my way and I love going to car shows.

 

THIS EVENT WILL NOT BE CANCELLED. Last year's event was ran by someone else, and only 4 people registered early. We're far beyond that, I know of 20 cars probably coming from michigan alone, let alone ohio and its surrounding states.

Hotels can be cancelled up to a week before the event with no penalty.

D4u2s0t - We got a couple people from NJ already registered, one being sqwirl/PJ of the Jersey J's. I'm sure you could caravan with them if you opted to.

hey, just moved to dublin, ohio and might want to go. is it still july 27th and 28th only? is there a show on saturday or just racing? how much to enter a car, etc? if there's a website maybe that has this information? sorry if this has been answered... no internet for about 3 weeks thanks guys and gals.

 

Are Stock Cobalts welcome also? I think that would be a great little week end. Unfortunately unable to get a room until I can get there. It is approximayely 3 hours from the place, not bad.

So how much is it to run the vehicle on the track? Is it a few cars at a time or single car run? Need too have a helmet?

I just finished all the wiring, and taped up my windows for paint. Its been a long day so paint comes tomorrow. I hope it comes out somewhat decent! I will be there. I have registered and got a room!
