I've drove stick all my life and would say I'm a pretty good driver but what do I know, I've never ran on a track before...

We don't go up on Fridays because most of us work till 5 pm

We go up on the weekends because it is an all day event...We leave Hampton at 0830-0900(Since it's just me Adam and Doc, we usually meet there), and don't get back into town till about 2000-2100.

So you can run fridays AND saturdays? and to what you said about it all changing on the track, yeah I hear that all the time but why is that? I see people prepping the local track around here and as they walk on it it sounds so damn sticky

the track is an equalizer...it is, you've got enough on your mind when your pre-staged and then the lights come on as you trip them and all bets are off I love it when the track is sticky....VMSP wasn't that sticky, if it were, I think I'd be close to 14.2

heres the link for the schedule.

Nerves mainly. It all builds up, from the moment you're pre-staging to the end. I ran for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago in Maryland(3 amigos racing thread), and I was shaking the whole day. Mind you. I'm not easy to rattle by any means, but when you're goin for the first time, everything goes through your head..What if you spin through third, or don't? What if you slam into those long strips of unyielding concrete? When should I shift? Hey, what's up with this other's guy car? Oh **** the lights are going off! next thing you know you're blazing downrange, trying to hit your shifts correctly, not even realizing that by the end of it all, you're doing damn near 95 MPH. I dont' care who anyone says they are, even pros will tell you, they are stil shaking when the runs are done. It comes down to adrenaline, man, it's a rush, and you will love it greatly.

Ok Va people...In case you weren't aware, I've been trying to organize a mass meet of sorts to try to get ALL the cobalts in the area together, possibly for a track day...Well, There is a Test/Tune day April 29th at Virginia motorsports park..I say that should be the day. It gives everyone here about a month or so to set up what they need/can.

If this sounds good to ytou, and you want more info as far as planning it out and details go, EMAIL me at charner1982@yahoo.com, or call me up on my cell(for those who have my number).

I'm going to post this over on css.com as well. It would also be nice to have some word of mouth going on if possible....Hope to hear from you guys.

Auto cross april 16th

Their is an auto circuit in my comand once a month and any one is able to compete time attack style. There will be a hazardeous condition training and test in your own cars, and good thing is it count towards discounts an you insurance.
