well uh, DUH! my gauge pod/STS/stg2 belt/plugs are at my moms now...HID's have been shipped(no traking number), clutch has been shipped yesterday, projectors are being delivered today, and Scott is waiting on the ETD to come into stock so he will ship that out with my pully, dunno about interceptor...then i hsould be set...for about a week

i might have some good news for you Delta. i got a phone call from the pefromance shop saying that they have figured out what was wrong with my electrical harness. They neglected to say if the car was done and ready for pick up. im going to call them when they open at 10. I stuck on duty today so i wont be able to go get it till tomorrow IF the car is finished. They did leave a message asking me to call them back so maybe they are going to tell me that they are going to have the car longer while they wait for another part, lol

Im good to go. Just called them and they drove the car around yesterday for a few hours. The problem was they had a wire for one of the scensors pinched between the the engine and the motor mount. I get to go pick it up tomorrow morning at 1030. cant wait. I'll make sure to post some vids tomorrow as well

i recently went to the GM car show in pontiac where all the engineers are. my dad works there and he talks to a lot of the guys frequently. so anywho we run into some guys he knows in the GM performance division for like the nascar, scca, nhra, etc. i told them about my car and how i wanted more power. then i told them theres no tuning software for it and that i cant do anything unless i go standalone. they told me about the 1400 hp drag cobalt, (like i dont know about that), and i said ya but this is a daily driver that needs some more accessories then just engine.

so they told my dad to email them ina week. there gonna talk to the ecotec designers and race engineers to see if they can do anything. im excited to see how this is gonna play out.

 

you do know there is tuning out now right. SCT flash teamed up with Hahn race craft and Garret. They just released a full turbo kit with the SCT flash device w/ complete tuning for the 2.2L manual trans owners for the modle years of 2005 to 2006. 2007 has a different computer then thos so 2007 and up are still screwed

o ya and wtf how does ur buddy with a LT cobalt with exhaust and nitrous ONLY run a 15.1 and when hes manual only gets a 16.7 without n2o?!?!?!?!

i ran a 15.76 with my exhaust and intake ALONE as my 1st time ever at a drag strip.

 

everything about the computer is tunable. the flash device comes with a set tune for the kit. if you change something about the set up with your engine you would have to go to a SCT flash dealer in michigan. i know there are 3 or 4 in detroit. It lets you change the rev limeter, the injector size, injector duty, fuel curve. everything that you can do with the SS/SC tunes on HP can be done at the SCT flash dealer on our computers now. Just that we dont have a MAP sensor. The tune by passes the MAF's max read out by using a wide band AFR guage and data logging the computer and then change the tunes. its really pretty easy, but its also easy to F yourself and mess the car up if you make it to lean.

well he ran that time for the same reason that the kid with the 100 shot of nitrous in the white LT that blew up his intake system and front of the motor and radiator. his engine wasnt built to handle the 100 shot he was putting in there and he still only ran a 14.8 in the 1/4. my buddy uses a 75 shot dry and ran a 15.1. i dont know how much time you think you are going to nock off by adding nitrous and stuff. i bet you that you will only get to some where around 14.9 and 15.2 if you add nitrous to your car. Also weather conditions affect your times too. Out here in VA the humidity is always around 70% or higher, that day it was 92 degrees, humitdy at 84% and the track surface temp was over 200 degrees.

its a 2 stage set up 50 shot on dry first stage and 75 shot wet on the second stage. basicly the first stage is for launch. it turns on at 3k rmps and shuts off at 6k rpms, my car shifts at 6.5k rpms. once it gets into 2nd gear the 50 shot dry and 75 shot wet kicks in at the same time. I'll probably put my car some where around a 14.4 or 14.5

 

so are u going to get ur turbo kit? or whats the plan for mods after ur nos? i thought ur going to get a turbo but now its 2 stage nos?

and i didnt know about the SCT being that versitle. how much is it?

I have not had any issues with the tint as of yet on the Cobalt or our other cars, but I also was in the Mundy Township Police Dept's VIP program as a volunteer and know most of the cops. I live in Hidden Ponds towards the back if you are in the area. Basically if there are more than 3 cars in the driveway I should be home and you will see the balt out there.

I am in for a meet anytime after the 14th. Delta, you can put me down on your list and we will figure out where we want to meet up at and when later this month.

You can only buy a flash tool, they dont sell it like HPTuners sells their stuff. to get the actual full tuning software you have to be a certified dealer of SCT products. It forces you to have to go to the dealer to buy a custom tune for your ride. Not the brightest way to run a business but at least we have tuning now

yeah im still going turbo, im not going to be without a car again so the turbo is being put in while im on deployment for 6 months. I leave for deployment in august. My buddy daniel is going to be taking care of the work.

well i got my car today. doesnt sound much different then before. the only noticed difference is that it sounds deeper, slighty louder, same tone, only a slight notice from a dead stop, big difference from a roll at 15mph or faster. Kept up with my buddies SS/SC up to 3rd gear, by the time we hit 80 i was about 8 inches to a foot off his back tire.
