Damnit Steve

I really don't want to jump in your **** on a public forum, but you're pushin' it.
Take a minute, make sure you have all the parts and info. You have a group of people that are more than willing to help you, and they did already. All Eddie has said is you need to get deeper in what's going on. They all want to see it happen and be able to say they were a part of it. Just because you can't have the **** done "yesterday" doesn't mean you have to give up on it.
Keep the car and follow through with what you've started. You'll never be satisfied and always want more when it comes to modding. It doesn't make a damn bit of difference whether it's TC or SC, eventually somebody's going to beat you and you're going to think you need more power or that something else is the solution. I've been beat plenty, but it doesn't stop me from racing, and you don't see me running out to put a turbo in my car. And you know if I wanted it, I'd have it. When your car is done, it'll be unique. That's a definate plus.

and......

**** AN EVO, You still gotta learn how to drive it.

x2

i just hit another bump in my path but its not stoping me. DTP wants to try to use HP Tuners even though i keep telling them it wont work on a 2.2L cobalt. Their heads are too thick to listen. I'm still trying to get them convinced on letting Vince tune the car via internet

what you say is true. but im not sure on what to do with deployment comming up. if i wait till after im just gettin a new car... jen said she wanted to pay for th rest of the build with her basic training money. i was iffy on that. what i dont understand is how much more do i possibly need? ive gotten every part. we know there the correct parts verified by the guy who already has a running example of the car. 2 lil parts have to be welded in. thats no biggie right? otherwise the cooling system was the issue. and 2 or 4 different bolts..

you are going to have to drill holes into the top of the heat exchanger like in the diagram for the T's and weld them in. I dont think anyone here owns a welder so those will have to be taken care of asap

the surge tank mounts up where your air filter is currently sitting, just like in the cobalt ss/sc's that have the stage 3 kit w/ dual pass heat exhangers.

I'll talk to my buddies back in michigan, one of them has the ss/sc w/ the stage 3 ECU and the extra surge tank... he is puting down 326whp

You have everything you need, including people willing to do the work.

If you had any clue what kind of **** I'm holding back right now.

Thumbs down Suck it up...

Hey man, that's really disappointing to hear you say that. Last time I saw you, you seemed all pumped up and confident that this was what you wanted to do. Now that you get started on it, you ***** out and change your mind. At least you had the parts to do the work and hadn't been given empty promises about companies coming through on products. I'm not dropping any names but there is one on here now that has been waiting for a special blower to be on the market for over a year now. I have been waiting for the tvs to be released and I will be gettiing mine sometime in June. When he gets his blower, and I get mine, do you think that minor setbacks are going to prevent us from having what we want?

**** no.

The three things you need: parts, time, and support; you already have. So what's the issue? Just do it. There's something about being the first...even if it's only where you live. Be proud about something.

Steve you don't need to much more money, but you do need a another car that you can use, while this one is being built. All your going to need is enough money to take care of all the little things that we need like bolts and welds.... pretty much after that your set. It would be great if we had pictures of the other cars are SC'd so we can see how they did things.

no-1 even wants to touch the car after last weekends disaster of a build. i dont have MONTHS to wait on this. ill be in louisiana all of may. on a TDY mission. gettin some extra bank. not much at all but hey some lil cash is better than none. jen will be gone by the end of the month i know. so i can always use her car and im probably deploying by august. so i really have not alot of time to be fooling around waiting for this to happen. i showed the post where they said this is the right tank and heat exchanger... and that those things needed to be put on for the H/E bleed now what more can i possibly get? u all forget i know NOTHING about how to do this and ive gotten every part the list told me to get. sorry some of the bolts were wrong. but i got what was on the list. now i you guys know what i NEED to get then please enlighten me. cause i dont know and u tellin me i need to get this stuff when i dont know what "this stuff" is isnt helping me at all... which is Y i get frustrated and wanna say **** the car and the build.

it shouldnt take but one more pay day bro, to get this finished.

ask your buddies to take pictures of their heat exchanger so you know what exactly kind of modification it will need to work, hell you could probably get a machine shop to machine some threads into those ports that are on there and tee them off.
