yeah, if you do the STS kit there is a lot of fabricating that will be involved, but if you have DTP do it they will already know what to do and have the install done in a week instead of a month, lol

and if it ends up proving to be a success there is going to a crap ton of people wanting how-to or what-to-do's and guess what..... im not helping them, they can go threw what i did since they felt like bashing before seeing what would happen
I didn't say anything bad, just that I personally don't really care for what you are doing, and that its your money and as long as you are happy, it don't matter what myself or anyone else thinks.

Personally I think I prefer the Hahn swap kit for the 2.0 Cesar.
More ready to go, bolt-on, and proven so far. And way more power than any street Cobalt will ever need.
yeah i want to do that one im saving up for it now and been talking to hahn about it thinking of taking a vacation and let them do it up their just don't want any faul ups you know are they even done with the kit?

It's up and for sale on their site. If nobody buys the Cobalt it could be the one going to Hawaii with me. Then maybe the kit will be in my future.
I won't really have the space to process waste oil for truck fuel.
My plan is to either be at work or at the Drop Zone jumping (getting paid there too maybe). Hopefully that will make the time go by.

Thumbs up Old Faithful

Just replaced the plugs, wires, and distributor cap on my Tracker.
It's like a different car! Going to get some fuel system cleaner and fill it up with premium for a treat. That vehicle has done me well for a long time now. I like to give it something a little special once and a while as a reward. It's like a HERBIE.

Bowling
anyone?
We can try the shipyard bowling alley in Portsmouth. It shouldn't be as crowded as the places out in town. I think I can get at least 3 not military guests on. They might even have KARAOKE

Finally back in VA. Got back at 3 a.m. Just when I thought VA had the gayest laws FL passed them up. I got pulled over leaving from FL on I-10 why?? you ask...lol Not for speeding, but because I was driving in the left lane. Apparently, you have to drive in the right lane unless you're "passing" someone. This trooper that looks like sheriff Buford says that he's lettin me off with a warning...lol I thought it was funny, especially, when everyone passing as I was pulled over was in the left lane.

are you serious...lol I'm from PA and I've never been pulled over for driving in the left lane on the turnpike. Thats crazy, I guess it all depends on how the cop is feeling that day

i dont know what DTP had to do to make the kit work. I didnt ask questions about every step... only asked questions about why they couldnt get the Oil system to work, then researched it for them, got them an answer form one of the people here on cs.net and feed back the info to DTP and they ordered the oil gallery plug they needed to make the oiling system work... this is not something that can be done by yourself, there is a lot of fabricating and welding involved. you can see the pictures for yourself that they bent, cut, and welded the chargepiping. I know that the kit comes with a PCV system that keeps you from blowing boost into the valve cover but i have no idea how to hook it up, just how it works.

by the time you get back you should only have to buy the Hahn 2.2 kit and have trifecta tune it

Just want to say Hi. I have a 06 Cobalt SS/SC, my wife has a Cobalt SS/NA sedan. We might be headed out that way in the next couple months. My wife just submitted her initial paperwork to the Navy to see if she can enter as a commissioned officer (already has a degree in nursing). She is from southern VA, born in Newport News. Currently her dad lives in the Hampton Roads area, so she is eager to "go back home". My sister is already stationed out there on USNS Carl Vinsson. My wife has put Portsmouth as her #1 pick. Hopefully the Sec of Defense approves her commission. Hope to finally be able to go out there. She is getting really excited. She put her start date as 9/1/08, so if everything goes according to plan we may need a little help finding a place out there as the date gets closer. Oh and schools too. I'll need a good mechanical engineering program that I can transfer my credits too.

BTW, I'm the former Utah Chapter Rep of Rocky Mountain Ecotec. I helped create the Utah Chapter and make it grow. I love RME. It is a great Cobalt club. We even have a sponsorship deal with the local track where we have the naming rights to the Sport Compact division of the Street Legal Series. Hopefully, if everything goes according to plan, we will both be joining you guys soon enough. I hope somebody can show me the local track. I love racing the 'balt. I already have many traction mods, including drag slicks. Next up are looks and performance for the SS/SC.
