NO ONE GO TO MILLENIUM FOR PERFORMANCE WORK
My new engine is installed in the car and everything and i the mechanic told me about what he thinks happend to the motor. In short he said that if a motor is not broken in properly ALL rod bearings will go bad, not just one cylinder. One cylinder may fail before the others is likely. What he saw was only one cylinder rod bearings were burnt up, the rod endcap bolts were streched, trq'd and snaped only on one cylinder. He said the only thing that can explain it was that the end cap bolts were not properly trq'd down.
To further back his claims up he just finished taking the motor out and putting the new one in and he said they Mckey Moused the engine back into the engine compartment. He had to order all the proper nuts and bolts and for the ones that were STILL missing. Not only that but he had to re-run some of the wiring because they left everything hanging around the block and dangling.
I will never go back to Millenium for anything, not even an oil change. From now on ill take my car back to michigan.
OK enough of the rant, lol. I'm going back to michigan friday to pick my car up.

i've spent too much money on this kit and its tuned and working just fine. the problem is millennium and their errors putting the engine together
i never took the turbo off, a few 2.2's are running 10psi on a stock motor so thats what im going to do till i can get another forged motor.

if my ship wasnt underway for 310 days out of the year then id have time to do/learn myself
for 25 grand you could have gotten a Mazdaspeed 3. 263 HP and 280 lb-ft torque. Not bad for stock, and with a turbo upgrade and exhaust and tune it'll easily put out over 300HP and 300 lb-ft torque. One of the guys I work with has an 07 and we threw on a CAI, full exhaust, and got it tuned and he's at 285HP and 295tq. He's waiting on turbo until after the holidays, but that our next job on his car...

and my car already has a turbo 3 times the size of the one in that speed 3. It is a T60-1 hi flow w/ ceramic ball bearings. It moves 786 cfm of air, max boost of 30psi, and capeable of producing 500hp... put it this way, its the same turbo that blackG85 has on his cobalt and he dyno'd at 414whp
Also the turbo may be able to move 786 CFM max and boost up to 30 psi, and creat 500 HP, but i don't see that possible on the cobalt.... I'd say with the 8 psi your running you may make 250 to 270 HP, and as soon as you mess with it and try to get more power out of it, the engine is gunna say bang....
gotta remeber the 2.2 wasn't built for boost so while you may be able to use the same turbo, you guys will not yield the same numbers. Yes you can get it tuned, but the Compression Ratio's are different.

Once i come back from deployment im going to pull no stops, i will buy the 2.2 wild block from jbp and then i can run what ever boost i want, hehe.
im back from TEJAS, halloween party at my house on the 31st. its my Son's Birthday too so if you have kids bring them. COSTUME IS MANDATORY FOR ADULTS!! bring food or drinks, my son is turning 4.
