There was a point in time where white Cobalt SS's were rare, but now I see them everywhere....and for whatever reason, theres still a stupid hype about them. I wish people would just get over the whole white Cobalt SS thing already and realize that they've been around since '06 and are nothing special. Yes I realize that there was never a white SS/SC and everyone wants to dance around now that you can get the SS/TC's in white...but big yip. Someone could've taken a white 2.4SS and turbo'd that....and voila.

 

Everybody gets hyped for something they've seen for the first time.

 

lol they've been around since '06, when the 2.4SS was introduced. I can't understand how people haven't seen a white Cobalt SS yet. Shoot, if i've seen like 10 GT-R's in person since they were introduced, people have bound to have seen a frickin white Cobalt SS

Matter of fact, I know of 5 other white 2.4SS's within maybe a 30 mile radius of where I live, and there was a white SS/TC coupe for sale at the same dealership I bought my car at a few months ago.

its not that kind of show.... a bunch of local dealers bring new cars to the VA Beach Convention Center. Its kinda a show that lets you see what new cars are coming out and things like that...

LOL my car is not in show condition right now either...

 

i hope they have the test drive booth. ill sooo go for it... since im over 21 i can drive them now.

well for those on the newport news side i guess Arts walmart is always the easiest place to meet. simple to find. then we can meet the Va beach guys down at the place

 

Too bad your show won't have a ZR1. The one out here will. Apparently, some guy went to a Chevy dealership and ordered a ZR1. After throwing some money down and ordering the car he had his credit run. The dealership tried everything to get his credit to clear. It didn't. So, they gave him the deposit back and now have a black ZR1 sitting in their showroom next to a black ZO6. I couldn't belive it. They said they are going to have it at the show and have it roped off and have a few event staff around it so that nothing happens to it.

Btw, 2 1/2 weeks until I leave Utah with the first Cobalt SS and drive it to Virginia. I'm really excited. Hope to meet some of you soon. But, I'm also feeling pressured for time because I need to finish installing a clutch and flywheel in the SS/SC. Also need to get about 500 city miles on it before I do a long cross-country trip.

The dealer shows that they put on at the convention center in va beach... it should be listed back a page or two on the thread

the car show is $12 a person, free to kids 12 and under. said that the new mustang, camero and i believe that the zr1 might be there too. there was an advertisement on the radio about these cars being there. there must have been a VIP showing last night cause we had a guy that had a VIP ticket and had pictures of the event. i didnt see the pictures though. some one in the photo lab saw them. she couldnt ID the cars that she say though.

 

so are we set on the times? 10 at arts walmart. and we will meet the VA beach guys at the place at 1030-1045?

 

im there. we just need a place to meet the Norfolk/Va beach bolts. then drive in together.
