Ideas for Va Beach and Tidewater region Cobalts
How'd you get to see the new FnF when it isn't supposed to be released until Friday? I'm jealous. I want to see it now.
Now, as for my good news that I was going to share the other day: Kim and I found a house that we are trying to buy. It's in the Pughsville area. The house is amazing. Last sunday we put in an offer. Monday, the offer was accepted. Tuesday, we locked in our interest rate at 4.75%. Today I got an email with scanned copies of the signed documents, and was told the buyer now has a case manager assigned for this deal. For those of you who have bought a house before you might be wondering why a case manager might be involved. Here's why: It's a short sale. What that means is that the seller owes more on the house than it is being sold for. The guy bought the house 2 years ago for over $260k. The economy took dump and the new value of the house is $237,500. He's very upside down in his mortgage. He's selling the house for $235k, which is what Kim and I offered. We hope to close by the end of April, but if that isn't doable, we will close at the end of May. Normally, when people hear about a short sale, they associate it with the seller being unable to afford the mortgage and have fallen behind. This is not the case. The guy is an officer in the Navy, and is based out Norfolk. He now has orders for Jacksonville, FL. He needs to sell the house now so that he can go to his new duty station.
We're really excited! Here's the online listing, with pics: http://www.coldwellbanker.com/servle...&page=property
One of the first things we want to do is have a house warming party with friends and family, complete with a BBQ in the backyard. Keep in touch and I'll let you know when this happens.

Steve, I upgraded to DSS stage 2 axles and still have my stock ones. If the axles are interchangeable between the SS/SC and the SS/TC then we can work something out.
