I bet it is, got the TW sitting in the trunk. Hey the rear springs are pretty much just sitting on the axle right? I haven't had a chance to crawl under and look, but what do I need to do to lower the rear axle, just unbolt the shocks and easily let the axle down with a jack? Thanks dude!

You have to put the WHOLE ass end of the car on jack stands and yes, you let down the axle with a jack after you have unbolted the shocks. Just be careful how fast you let er down lol, don't want you losin' your head from a spring gone crazy. then vice versa to reinstall. The only major problem with the front is that the top nut is a bitch and make sure that you mark the orientation of the top spring plate because if you don't get it back on there really close to the original orientation you'll have a nasty vibration. There is also another way to take off the top nut but I didn't do it that way. It's in this link https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/front-strut-spring-r-r-23418/ Good luck pimpin'

Awesome thanks bro. I've got an impact so I'm good on the top nut. My only worry is the sway bar link that connects to the strut. When we did my clutch there was no getting those off, they just spun no matter the pressure and with grips and pliers on the other side of it. So I don't know if I can manuver it around and be able to compress the spring without taking that off. We'll see, doing it Sunday. Going to get my windows tinted!!!

Supposed to be an inch in the front, 1.3 in the rear. Just enough to keep the stock struts. And thanks Superman, you da best!

man watch those speed bumps, I had sportlines on my old balt and ended up breaking the welds on my header, tore flex pipe on d/p and cracked welds on my resonator... doesnt take much to screw up a exhaust when its @ 200 degrees and you torq the exhaust by barely grazing a speed bump at the slowest speed you could go

oh yeah next weekend is the meet.... hells yeah....

Just dropped it this morning, well 75% of the way lol. It was 16 degrees out, I got the rear done no problem, and started on the left front. Go to use the impact, compressor goes out. Can't get it to work. So it took me forever to get the left front done, and then forgot to put that plastic insert with the bumpstop back on, so had to take it all apart again and it was just a mess lol. Then go to bolt the strut back up, and realized I pulled the axle boot apart from the tranny side. Fucked with that for a while, and after a new hose clamp got the left side all back together. By this time I had to clean up and get headed home and get ready for work. So I'm gonna finish up the right side tomorrow morning, I know what to do and all now so it should take no time. Love the look of the left side, low and nice. And the windows are done, 17% all the way around, looks sexy. Post up a pic in a bit. Later all!

Just an FYI, anyone wanting tuned please PM me so we an set up time/place/payment. So that I can manage my time and plan our day out, I'm now asking a deposit before the planned day of tuning. Especially for 2008+ cobalts or any other model as credits need bought before I leave home.
