well my old ss/sc made prolly close to a hundred passes at orp and never hurt any part of the car and I was stage 2 2.9 pulley k&n intake corsa touring exhaust intense racing header catless downpipe eiback sportlines and other goodies all on my daily driver and like stated before never had a problem!

oh yeah fastes pass was 13.86 with 2.1 60ft and my ss/sc was without a lsd so thats pretty damn good ... espically for a white boy....

I think pinks would be a great idea! you never know we may end up on tv

What is the SS/TC's stated quarter-mile time? Wondering if my car can take it I know I can't beat a fully modded balt yet, but give me a year

Not sure about that, my stock quarter-mile is 14.2 @ 98 mph 0-60 in 5.7 I drove one of the SS/TC's and it didn't seem to pull as hard as this, but I guess it doesn't weigh 3600 lbs either

i am going to pinks all out with a big group of my friends. I decided not to get the turbo goat. I am just gonna do a built motor for the balt and salp a turbo on it and boost the hell out of it. I am looking at getting a new gsxr 1000.

I think the stated time for the tc is 14.2 in the quarter also with a 102 trap, I learned the hard way that any pass faster than 14.00 that orp makes you wear a helmet, so when I took my tc out I made sure that every pass was well over 14.00, I'm sure if I had a perfect launch and didn't sand bag like I had to, that my car would turn at least a 13.9 if not quicker. I didn't want to get kicked off the track since I still have yet to buy a helmet.

THe tuesday night drags are street leagal cars, run what you brung kinda deal its 15 bucks to race and 8 to watch. I love to run the **** out of my car their its the best 15 bucks I can spend, its good quality time with the cobalt

I think you'll be able to get me unless I get my 275/40-18 max performance summer tires by then My car has a hell of a time hooking up with the 255/45-18 ultra performance all seasons. We'll be neck and neck for sure will be an awesome race.

Thanks extreme, I love this thing.

Is it grudge match stuff where you get to line up whenever you want.. or it is ladder type where if you lose the first round, you're done?

its not really a grudge match because you just get in line and run as many times as you can.

yeah you run as many times as possible which varies to how many people are their I've made as few as 3 passes in one night to as many as 18 it all depends.

They open the gates at like 430 and racing begins at 500 cars go for a while then they let bikes make a few passes and then back to the cars...

One thing thats fun lets say you want to race a certain person and cant seem to get lined up with them you just tell the pit boss you want a grudge match and they will have you park in a special area together and when they allow cars back on the track they will make sure you get lined up with the other car by pulling you both on the track first before all the other cars get to hit the track. So if you wanna make a small wager on the side its all good!

If I can get my car to hook up you're done LOL, I'll probably kill my tranny though I need to get a good LSD, motor mounts, and new tires for that to occur though. I can't wait. I am with Dustin though, I think the TC's gonna win, but by how much is the interesting part because I know I'll be charging on you in the end

That sounds awesome.., we should definitely plan an outting.. I've only run 1/8mile before, and not since I got the Cobalt..

I suppose opening day is one of those days where you're only gonna get 3 runs in...

P.S. I wanna race the gxp too!... in the car and the truck both!
