Welcome to the site! Always great to have another Cobalt owner in Michigan, what trim level Cobalt ya looking at? The only good place I know of that does pretty good work w/ cars at decent prices is Needful Truck Things in Lapeer County, it's where I go for just about anything I can't do myself or when I need to buy anything. My dad's gone there for 10 years and I've been going as long as I've had a vehicle which has been about 3 years.

Basically any shop can do springs. Bell tire will even do them I think.

I'd say do it yourself (it's very easy actually) but you probably don't have the tools if you're asking.

I have a degree in computer science, and programming websites in flash format is not to difficult for me. See where I am going with this?

Ask me how to replace springs on a car, and I wouldn't have the slightest idea where to begin.

I can possibly help installing a body kit, just not painting it

I can do systems, few performance mods and I have other people do the other things for me (alarm, tint, blacked out lights).

If you need anything, let me know.

As for the springs, you're best bet is to just have them installed at Belle Tire.

Springs are pretty easy. I did mine myself. There's a how-to on the site already but I don't know if there's any difference with the 08s. When you get them ask if anyone in your area can help. I would but I'm about an hour away from you. Only takes about an hour probably cost 150 at belle tire.

it is the exact same as the SC and it did seem pretty easy to do when I was watching the guys at Belle Tire do it. I was just told that if I brought my own springs in to install that they wouldn't do it unless you bought them from there

hey man thanks
the sad thing is, i didnt get a cobalt. My uncle passed away just 2 weeks ago so i got his 2000 explorer with 30,000 miles (not kidding) for 3,000. So i figured i could use it till i finish college then sell it (basically for what i got it) then turn around and get a cobalt (if there still in production!!)

but do you have a yellow balt ?? by maceaday lake ??
