Not going to work without traction. And driver mod stage 3.

Alright people, we got 12 hours left.

I'll try to be at the parking lot on Telegraph at 2:30pm. People should shoot to get there before 3pm, to make sure we're all ready. We want to leave at 3:15 sharp, so if you plan to be late you can call my cell, the number is in the first post. I'll probably tell you just to meet us at the track since we cant wait around for stragglers.

See everyone in the afternoon!

Haha, alright Frank we'll wait. But you better be speeding, followed by half of Taylors cops when you show up.

edit - oh yeah, afterward i was thinking of heading to a bar, to those of legal age. We can discuss it at Milan.

Good time had by all at the Milan event. If you missed it, you missed some good fellowship, good racing and good healthy competition.

Pretty fun outting. Sorry Brian, i totally missed your post and was expecting you to be there. I can understand though as i heard what you guys were up to late at night.

My car is STILL trapping low, which could be a boost leak, or something in the 4th gear tuning i need to work out. At any rate, my ability to launch this car on my current street tires is getting good.

2 best times from tonight:

13.04@105.9 (2.05 60')
13.16@106.4 (2.15 60')

A good fun time, and the bracket racing is kind of cool. We should plan for another event in mid September that people can make. I'd shoot for August, but i got too much going on. This should give people a lot of time to get it off work. We'll shoot for a Friday "king of street" event again i think, unless i can find a good Saturday.

sidenote- SS33 where were you! We waited a little bit thinking you were gonna come...

i had an absolute blast!! i got a few runs in with that blue talon that was there with the big intercooler on the way home, i stomped him hard!! but my best time was 14.4@98 bouncing the rev limiter off 3rd across the traps, but my best mph was 101. i need to replace the clutch!! its slipping badly. but thanks to all who came out!! nice to meet you all!

yes I agree it was a very good night. I realized two things last night. A. I am a much better street racer, and B. I can push my car a lot harder next time. I only expierenced a wheel hop for about half a second. On that run I accidentally ran over the water My first run was laughable but I was a little scared to break something to be honest. A .6908 reaction time and a 2.7 60 FT = 15.1 1/4. I did however get progressively better my times were getting lower and my MPH trap got higher. My last run for those of you that don't know was a .1048 reaction time 2.3 60 ft and a 14.6 @ 97.6 MPH. Funny story though when I was almost all the way home there was this accord or something ( you may have seen it there ) it was the red one with the white body kit that wasnt painted. He pulled up next to me and was like hey I just seen you at the track. Do you want to run for fun ? I told him yeah I ran a 15.1 this should be a good one. So then I proceeded to put 3 cars on him. At the next light he was like dude someone was lying I said no man I really ran that... on my first run lol. He was pretty cool about it. So in summary awesome time, thanks all for taking my mind off the fiancee' issue for awhile. Next time I go out I truly feel I have a 14.3 possibly just maybe a 14.2 in me.

1fstss,

Are you the one who has the 55shot on the SS? Any chance you post on Motown Muscle?

Ya, I read that thread on MM about a red cobalt racing a srt4 and saw your posts. No worries about the track. I've had my bad days at the tracks too. It's takes practice and Milan isn't the best for traction.

Sorry Zenkat, I thought I posted above that I wasn't gonna make it. I didn't think any of my new parts were gonna come in, and Pat wasn't going, so I just decided to work on getting my 03 cavalier back on the road all weekend.

Then as soon as I get the cavy thoroughly torn apart, UPS comes walkin up with a nice box from Intense for me.

Next time I will be there for sure though. And if I had known Intense was gonna be kickass and overnight my stuff I wouldn't have started in on the cavy.

But at that point it was already almost 3, and I had a cavalier half out of my garage, up on jackstands, minus a decklid, hood, rotors, a couple of tires, etc.

Nice time again boys....lol....Glad to meet all at the event, 'cause too many names to remember...hehe.....I'll go back, it's the closest track...shitty hook, I'm kinda supprised, they race NHRA there...wtf.........maybe it is when smaller venues let 4x4's and large wheeled suv's do burn-outs?
I find Grand Bend to have a better preped track, but it sure beats a ticket!

nice EVO MR
