Better driver???? LOL... 14's I wouldn't be braggin, but hidding

As far as the event goes... ya.. the next event is the Motown Muscle event at Milan.
Motown Muscle Race #4 is the last race for 2006 - Milan on Saturday, October 28th

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Race #4 will be at Milan Dragway (http://www.milandragway.com/) on Saturday, October 28th. This will be our standard Saturday morning times with Track opening at 8:30 for Tech and racing at 9:00AM. We'll run our program to Noon and be followed by the regular Milan Saturday TNT events at 1:00PM.

Everyone is welcome to come race. Only Active Club Members will be awarded Point Series Points to have a shot at getting your name on the MM Chris Jackson Memorial Cup for the 2006 race season.

Schedule:
8:30AM - Gates open and tech starts
9:00AM - Lanes open for TNT
10:30AM - Classes start running
Noon - Awards and wrap up

Cost Info:
We are going to keep the same cost split for racing this year with members racing for a $10 discount at each event. So the $40 savings pays for your $25 annual membership fee if you attend all four race events during your membership year.

Members that are current on their dues will race for $30.

Guests can race for $40 or they can pay the $25 membership fee and race for $30 for the day and receive the $10 discount on future races.

Spectators get in free as always. So bring the family or come watch your friends and have a good time.

Milan's regularly scheduled TNT will start at 1PM and they typically let us just walk to the gate to pay for a new tech card if you would like to continue racing after our event.

All classes require the standard safety equipment for your speed/ET to clear tech. If the track tells you to slow down... then that's what we have to do.

Class Summary:
Class 1 - Run what you brung quick 16. Fastest 16 cars get a shot at heads up racing. It's heads up, pro tree racing.

Class 2 - 11.99 and faster ET bracket racing. This one should have it all with turbo(s), juice and some SC cars coming out to play. Street tires, DRs and Slicks keep the racing fun and fast.

Class 3 - 12.00 and slower ET bracket racing. The battles are heating up in this competitive class.

Prize Money:
Each class will payout: 1st-$100, 2nd-$50, 3rd-$20 and 4th-$20.

Point Series Scoring:
1st place finish-5pts
2nd place finish-3pts
3rd place finish-1pt
4th place finish-1pt

Get your tires Bryan but remember it's not car it's the driver. You need to learn to drive better then you can break the 13's.

Ladies and gentleman I give you the only man in the world that can trap 106 mph but still cannot break out of the 14's. If my memory serves me right you ran a 14.1 or 14.2, last time I went to the track I ran a 14.3 with intake and exhaust only. Different .1-.2

No pulley swap, no larger injectors, no full 3" exhaust, no tune and definitly was running on the pirellis before I swapped to the nittos. Hell no heat exchanger either. Just intake and exhaust (I love it, just to spite you I think I will keep the same mods) but get even sticker tires and break the 13's still trapping maybe 100. with my intake and exhaust setup.

My driver mod > Bryans Car mods.

that was awesome **** mike....

as for the "driver mod"...i beg to differ.

its at the point that with out some sticky tires at this power level doesnt make sence.

they work great on the street....the car is a street raceing machine but at the not so sticky track its just wheel spin...at least its not wheel hoping any more....but still...

i'm just happy that i'm not sliping a clutch any more and now with the constant tuneing the AFR's are great....

ya'll call see that with 106-108traps the powers there but not being able to use 2nd gear due to tire spin was killing me....

i'm prob gonna buy some QTP's this week and try to be redy to go with Daren to the milan event onthe 28th

ohhhh and MIKE...i'll run you on the street from any speed or dig ANY day of th week.....

If I was putting down real power I'd already be owning you but since I have obligations the car took a back seat for now. Almost 3/4's of the races you always missed a gear.. how can a person who seems to be the king of smack talk know how to drive when he always misses 2nd or 3rd gear? if I remember correctly before you went below your 2.7 and got "real" tuning and injectors I always pulled on your ass by half a car from a roll until the 2.7 finally kicked in enough breath to pass me after we were doing 120mph at this point. Please don't say your clutch because that has been an overused excuse since I met you You got a new OEM Clutch before going aftermarket but still failed to get into gear half the time...

If I get to save the money and use it wisely it won't be long (little over the winter) and i'll be ready to take ya on. can't say I've ever really missed a gear missing you and still managed to be on your ass even with a 1/4 of the extra power you have.

Care to explain this one?

ugh...we've been over this...

i've missed a gear maybe 1 or 2 times when we race...it doesnt happen much if at all....
and you pulling on me before i got more into the power was due to a few simple facts!...

1st...i dont know what "new OEM clutch before going aftermarket" you speek of...i had my original stocker then went from that to my spec over the summer...never got a 2nd OEM unit so my stock clutch was cooked prety dam good once this summer rolled around....

so yes between the fact that YOU always started the raceing giveing you a split seconed advantige and MY clutch was going to hell and YOU knew that....

**** there was a point at wich when tommy and I would race when he was DEAD STOCK and i was 2.7/43's tuned BEFORE the clutch i would barley pull untill he had to shift and my higher limiter gave me the advantige...so i was looseing quite a bit thro it.

i think that answers all the questions.

1st You said the dealer replaced your so called "fried" clutch because of your *hookups* at the dealer

2nd Clutch Excuse, also you provoke all the races so actually I started from behind when you took off and chasea you and pulled right even with you to only lose very most top end cause i'm still running stock pulley. You said it must be because of my intake I started mmm maybe one race? You always rev at me and would only race from a roll because you sucked at dig races and bounce all over the place like a little bitch.

My clutch is finally giving at 50,000 miles and still OEM where as you have half the mileage and rolling on aftermarket.

The driver mostly not the power (unless it's 20% over stock) determines clutch wear, you ride that clutch so much.. it's no wonder it slips.

i was going to have the clutch replaced by the dealer becasue of the people i know there...that is true however i knew it would only delay me in buying an aftermarket unit wich is what i needed and at the time i had the money so i did...that happend over summer...i'm sure you remeber that.

as for me provokeing(sp?)you...are you kidding me mike?....i ALWAYS hear you cruzin aorund in a low ass hear next to me...i simply go along and down shift and go.

you've started more races then I have...and like i said i'm down for a good street race any day.

as long as we can stay away from the cops..well at least best we can i'm down yo!!!

EDIT----

mike!...i'm gonna have to call on your mad comp skills soon/tonight...when ever i plug stuff into my laptop...like a SD card into the card reader or a USB storeige(sp?) thing the comp makes the "tone" but the "my computer" wont reconize it so i cant get into it...i know you had an idea last time we talked bout this but i've never tryed to fix it and its bugin me...so what do i do??

This is for both Daren and Bryan:

Are you guys having any problems with your SPEC 3+? Any grinding on your 1-2 shift? How many break in miles have you put on it?

I've got that CM FX400 in the garage but I am having second thoughts of putting it in. I need something with good day to day driveabilit so I may sell this one and get a Spec 3+. I don't mind putting some break in miles on it but I heard of a couple ppl who were having 1-2 grinding problems for a long time.

Pat,

No problems at all... working great on the car.... When I first put it on and took it to the track it slipped...1,000 miles on it....since then after letting it break in properly 3,000 mile no problems at all.

Spec 3+ clutch has about 11,324 miles on it so far to this date and no problems.

Where are you as far as which row during a WOT run in the (g/cyl) tables?

At WOT I would be at the bottom row in the histograms as for cylinder air mass (g/cyl).... 1.36 all the time. Normally I was at 1.12 to 1.28 before all the tunning. Since pushing more boost and VE and MAF tunning I reached the bottom rows.

I've replaced a throttle body and blown my intake gaskets trying to push more timming and boost on pump gas then a 2.5 pulley.... so that's the only major problem I've had.

1.16 is the most I get to. Damn that's low compared to you. Good to hear no problems with the clutch. Eh, now I have a decision to make.

HAD your car flowing some serious air. Now you are missing some of the key components. And you can't have them back
