Michigan road course any one?
I've done Gingerman at least a half dozen times, including a winter rally there in the snow.
Great track, lots of run off (if you need that), great combination of corners.... the straights are short. I can try to remember to keep you in mind next time I hear of something up there.....
Let's do a Balt/Ion track day.... they are really nice there, my buddy knows the owner.
We could probably get the track to ourselves for about $125 each w/ about 15-20 cars for the whole day.... then we could run the cars in both directions (for even tire wear).... and we'd get tons of track time! Oh the downside is we'd probably need to do it on a weekday to make it affordable.
I'd be happy to call them 1st week of 2007, get the details and help coordinate an event!

well fellas.... my apologies, I forgot all about this.
I just got off the phone w/ my contact at GINGERMAN RACEWAY
We need to book the track during the week (mon-thurs)..... from a cost standpoint
I want to make this day for 20 cars only!!!! I don't want a crazy day.... I want it to be fun and not be crowded !
We are looking at $150-200 per car w/ a 20 car min/max..... I don't care how many people drive those 20 cars. I don't have the complete price yet.... I am looking into the necessary insurance.
We would have the track from 8am - 4 or 5pm..... we'll run both directions to keep tire wear even.... We'll need to work our own corners..... there will be no ambulance.
I will be happy to provide instruction to any novices (I am a skip barber race school graduate), any stupid driving will result in a warning the 1st time, 2nd time you're out..... NO BS!!!!
OK... who is in????? they can be a cobalt club member.... or one of your buddies?
I don't care what cars show. There will be a tech inspection. I would like someone else w/ track experience to help me make this a fun/safe event!

I will need a couple of weeks before I am sure I'll have the money. I have some track experience and would be glad to help with anything. I have only run 2 events at Gingerman, 3 at Waterford, a solo at Grattan and a ton of auto-x.

An official thread wouldn't be a bad idea. Let me know if you put it somewhere else. I only check the Mid East section of this forum.
That was at waterford Hills raceway. A very fun track!!
