Moving to Michigan! Help?
I'm from Farmington Hills, AND I went to Eastern Michigan in Ypsi. Just a note, FH is only 30 minutes away IF you're flying down M-14 and there's not traffic. 275 Northbound is a bitch & a half.
Ypsi is okay as long as you stay away from EMU and Michigan Ave. It gets better the further west you go and shittier the further east you go.
On Friday nights people cruise up and down Woodward between Pontiac & Detroit (usually hang out at Potbelly between 13 & 14 mile). Be cool when cruising Woodward because Royal Oak & Ferndale Cops will **** with you because they're bored.
Not that I condone that sort of thing but if you feel like street racing, try Grand River in Detroit between I-94 & Grand Blvd. It usually picks up around 1am.
Let's see, a couple good places to eat:
A2: Big Ten Burrito on State St. & Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger on S. Ashley.
One of the coolest things about living in MI is that you get to see all kinds of camouflage cars before they even come out. I remember seeing the new new charger before it even came out, this was around 2010.

Agreed about the camo cars. I remember seeing the 5th gen camaro out and about locally all the time. And the new vipers going up and down 75. Along with more recently the new Alfa's that are coming out here camo'd.
I work at Delphi also, Troy office though.
A LOT of people I know have been getting houses in Clawson for good prices and the areas pretty nice, at least where they live. Literally on the edge of Royal Oak.
