Making the 2.4SS downgrade are we? (Lol, j/k)

Hmmm.......R32 maybe? Or maybe a Mazdaspeed 3? Those would be my best guesses.

I guess I understand. As we speak, the little amount of aftermarket backing that we had for our cars is slipping away. GM shot themselves in the foot, and us in the pocket by not thinking ahead and dropping the hammer on our car. Of course only the ss/sc was affected but if and probably when the turbo model comes out, there's going to be a lot of problems with a car that has two completely different powerplants and powertrain setups.

Sweet. I'm not really big into Euros, but R32s are pretty cool. They're not very fast for what you pay, but they have mad potential. (HPI Tuning turbo kit for example) Def a tad classier too. I'm joining the guard reserve, so I'm thinking about selling the SS when I get the $15,000 sign on bonus and getting a G35. But I love my SS, so that will probally remain just a thought.

Btw, the blue R32s aren't that rare. I'd say the yellow R32s are the rarest by far. Just saying.

HerdonHighSS.....please don't! I have not one.....not 2.....but THREE friends who traded in their modded cars for WRX/STIs. Those turbo family cars are way too "been there done that". With a WRX/STI/EVO you'll always be playing catch up with all the others. Hell, my roomates 300whp STI gets made fun of by other STI owners just b/c he hasn't hit the "measly" 400whp mark yet, lol.

I am a big fan of the G35. I just can't get enough of that exhaust note; reminds me of mine everytime I hear it. So I guess I won't be mad at you if you sell your SS. Well maybe I will because you sold it, but not that much if you get the G35, I guess...

Yeah, the G/Z exhaust notes are sick. A biiiiig difference between their super smooth and my super "holy ******* **** are you serious why is it so loud" exhaust note, LOL. I love loud.....but it gets me in trouble. I wouldn't mind the more refined exhaust note, but I do enjoy the looks I get when I roll up in the SS, a cracklin and a burblin. But yeah, I love G35s. Nice and refined, all the perks/aftermarket of a Z, and you even get a backseat! I've planned and planned and planned if I were to get a G. But I think I'd keep it really simple. Nothing over the top. And itd be modified super similar to the SS. My G would be an '05-'07, in that sexy slate blue color. It would light mods, all of which can be sourced locally at my nearby tuner shops (no rare crazy JDM goods, just niiiiice and simple), consisting of:

Fujita F5 CAI
DC Sports headers
ARK DT-S cat-back
Skunk 2 intake plenum spacer
UR pulley set
ARK short shifter

Hotchkis suspension system (springs, sway bars, strut bar)
Powerslot rotors
Hawk pads

Staggered 19" Axis Matrix wheels w/ appropriate tires

JP Designs front lip
35% tint all around

Pretty much my dream car as far as a comfy daily driver goes.

But for now the SS stays. Still got a few plans for it (HP Tuners/injector swap, a few suspension bits, tint, maybe painted headlights/HID), and once that's down ill see how I feel about it, where I stand on money, and go from there.

I stopped by a dealership to check this out last week. Definately a nice car. The price tag is a bit on the high side but I also am considering it. I think they only shipped like 5000 so got to make a quick decision. The only option for the car is the nav at like 1800. Told the salesman they are smoking are something good. The DSG transmission is alot better than there manual would have been in this particular car. The only disappointment is the R32 motor and not the R36 motor which would have been 300 hp. They couldn't get dsg tranny to fit without some serious redesign so that will be the next model.

I've seen one of those 'tangelo' colored gti's in the norfolk area. I like the look, my only gripe is that it should be longer. Otherwise it's a great machine. Good choice!

By the way are we going to get together again before old man winter hits?
