Son of a B***H!

ARGH! I've only had my cobalt ss s/c for 2 months and I got rearended last night! It hasn't even made it to its first oil change het! Hell, it only has 2100 miles!

First, on my way to work, a semi kicks up a rock on i96 and puts a chip the size of a nickel in my winshield, then on my way home, I was sitting waiting to turn left into my complex and this girl ON HER PHONE comes flying down from the overpass 100 yards behind me and clips my corner....and she says she didn't see me! Not only were my brake lights on (thank god i wasn't just sitting with the clutch in like normal) but my car is YELLOW!!!!!

To add insult to injury, AAA "forgot" to add rental coverage and the only shop I will let touch my ride doesn't do loaners.

At least her taurus got jacked up...she needs a hood, headlight, marker light, corner panel, and bumper. it was a late 90-s so they will probably total her out. She didn't even apologise; she just cried.

Oh, and to the guy in the black ss s/s that saw me sitting on Joy rd with the cop writing the OTHER driver a ticket....it's rude to stare.

</rant>

Dumb bitch!~ I had a girl that drove into mine too! I didnt get a scratch because she was just trying to park and drove to close to mine. I was like RIGHT THERE. She walks out and dosent even say anything. Im like hey Biatch, you just drove into my car. I look for any damage and just told her to learn how to drive and get lost. I ******* hate 98% of women.

at least her ins company has to pay 500 of my 550 deductable but i still have to find a car to drive and since i'm only 23, it makes it even worse. plus, i dont have alot of extra $$ around. This is my first accident in like 6 years.

well since you were not at fault. Heres what you do. Get her information and call her insurance company ebcause they are responsible for paying for your rental. I got in a wreck the day after I bought my cobalt and didnt have rental. A week later when i got the police report and got the ladies insurance info I called them up and she had filled a claim and I told them I need a vehicle to drive while mine was in the shop. They paid for it and all I had to do was let enterprise pick me up Well and give a statement.

Michigan no-falt and mini-tort laws. All I can get is UP TO $500 of my decductable is what AAA (my company) told me.

Now that's a sweet deal. There is nothing like a covered deductable.

I love the title to this thread....it really says it all.

That sucks dude but it look's like it could have been worse. Go find that stupid bitch and kick her right in the sweet spot. Unless she's hot, then maybe you could find another form of repayment!

Same thing happened to me...his insurance covered the rental no questions asked...anything I wanted to the equivlent of my Silverado. Have you even brought it up to her insurance company? THey would probably hook you up since it is her fault and if you are nice to them.

Haven't called them yet...the info is on the police report that will be available tomorrow. However, I called the dealer that sold me my car and talked to my sales guy and they are a direct repair center for AAA so he said if I can get it to Lansing (90 min drive) that he can get me a loaner no problem. He's seeing what we can work out so I may have it towed up there at their cost, I may rent an auto transport and borrow my stepdads silverado or I may just be in the same boat. I'll keep ya'll posted.

So..... preliminary estimate (before any parts came off) was $3400. They started tearing it down (pics coming soon) and she jacked up my whole right rear quarter so I'll be curious to see what it goes up to. Oh, and she has the same Ins company I do so that should make things go smoother.

here's some daytime pics.

If she jacked up your whole right rear quarter panel then your car is twisted, dose your sunroof look closed all the way, or dose it look like it's not the same way as before the accadent???
If so she twisted your car, the body shop, should ba able to tell you this, and the insurance company should total the car out. To me personally I wouldn't keep my car knowing that the quarter panel was jacked up!! MY $0.02.

best of luck to yea!

she and I have the same ins company. Also, since its new and i had a trade-in, my payoff is like 23-24k so theres almost no way thwy would total it out. plus, micvhigan has no-fault so i cant go after her for any more than the 500 i already will be getting.

but at least i got an 07 impala rental for 100 for 14 days (hopefully it diesnt take that long)
