Bro, thats nothing, I had my car for a month, then let my bro borrow it, some bitch pulled in front of him and nailed the front, 8500 dollars in damage. The accident happened july 12th, and i just got in back at the end of september.

I am not asking for money out of your pocket, just your help with the red tape. Please do this for me; you owe me that at least.

The body shop has been working on my car and hopes to have it done the end of this week but I don't have the money to pay them the deductable. AAA is telling me now that they have 3-5 days to contact her by phone (which they havent) and that they then sent a letter out and she has 10-14 days to approve it...yes, APPPROVE it!
Apparently she can deny my claim, in which case I have to taker her @$$ to small claims court (where I would win). This is turning into a MESS! Anyone got experience with Michigan small claims court?
She has also now made her MySpace private. LOL

What dealer in Lansing did you buy the car from? And sorry to hear about all the **** that is happening. It almost sounds like the insurance company is trying less because theyknow they have to pay for it all.

I called my old State Farm agent and he gave me the same line so now I know it's not AAA, its Michigan law. I just got a lead ona job in San Diego though so we'll see what happens.
For now, the car is still at the shop. As of 7 last night, they had it back together but they wanted to do a thorough inspection of it and they forgot to look at two things I had pointed out when I brought it in; both of which are minor. Supposedly, Monday I'll get it back.

***UPDATE 10/24***
got the car back late last night...ut;ll never be the same but oh well.
the body line near the RR tail has an overhang on top and as you go down towards the corner marker it has a lip from the bottom. basically thats as straight as they could get it. paint matches well though. I'll get some pix up in the next day or so.
The final total is $3800 in damage and I'm still waiting on the Ins company to repay me for the deductable. As of this friday if she hasnt called them then i win...otherwise, i get to take her to small claims in plymouth/canton.
got the car back late last night...ut;ll never be the same but oh well.

Pix after repair
ok, so here's the pix after repair....
notice the red circled parts are where there is an overhang where the bumper meets the panel and they tried to straighten it out. the blue circled part is where there is a lip form the bottom part of the seem and along the side of the trunklid is not totally straight (although you cannot see it in pix)
its just not my luck though...2 days ago, my girl's celica gets hit by a dumpster...yes, a dumpster. it was being emptied by Waste Management and when they set it down (mind you, it has casters), they set it on a hill and it rolled into her rear quater. not much damage but she was in the car when it happened and it scared the **** out of her. we dont have full coverage but their insurnace company will have to do soemthing about it and it would cost more to fix than the car is worth (the car has 231k miles on it).

thats some really bad luck man. I thought i had it bad, i havent got hit yet, but when i had my s-10, i'd come out side in the winter and find where some one sled around the corner into my yard and into my truck. so i had to file hit and run, it was bad. Where at im michigan do you live? IM located in flint
