WHEN: May 10th 2008 (Race) Tech Friday May 09th.
WHERE: O'REILLY RACEWAY PARK (FORMELY INDIANAPOLIS RACEWAY PARK)
WHO CAN ENTER?: ANYONE and EVERYONE! From NO EXPIERENCE, to ALL the expierence. STOCK cars, to Highly modified cars, and everything inbetween. Go register, your chance of making a "Team" are better then you think!!!!!!!!!! (Remember, field will be limited!!)

Dear fellow Gear-head,

It is that time of year, when we try to get in our last races of the season, and put up our racing ambitions up for the winter. It is soon time to spend with the family and friends over the holidays, as the tracks get covered in snow. It will come back again, a worthy event, to showcase your driving skills, meet friends for life, and have a GREAT TIME for a GREAT CAUSE! WINGED WARRIOR IV: SPEED CHALLENGE AND CARSHOW. This event is to benefit the Kids in Riley Hospital for Children, and each year we have put on the event, the money we raised has tripled!! This is a Not for Profit event, and it is staffed by alot of warm-hearted, dedicated Volunteers! We will have this event on Mothers Day weekend again, (Saturday Race/Friday Tech). Please consider joining us, wheather being a Racer, Spectator, or entering your car in the general carshow. There will be plenty to see and do at this event, with more vendors/sponsors expected. Help us keep up the momentum on this, and let everyone you know about this event to join us!!

We will be holding the event at the famed O'Reilly Raceway Park (Formerly Indianapolis Raceway Park) on Mothers Day weekend again. It is open to those who want to see how their car stacks up with other cars, in a variety of "challenges". From STOCK to highly modified. There is NO EXPIERENCE NEEDED, there are Moms battling their Sons, Dad's vs Son, etc...You must "Pre-register" thru the website: www.wingedwarrior.net . Teams will be selected in March. Your car will be classed with "like" cars, and you battle amongst your class. To take the All Wheel Drive cars advantage, we have come up with an "equalizer" to even out the field for even CLOSER competition in WWIV!!

Events YOU will be running if selected to "Team Import, or Team Domestic":

This is a "Timed and Scored" event, whereas YOU and YOUR team tries to knock off the opposing team in the following events:

1. Drag Race
2. AutoX
3. Slalom
4. Racers carshow


So if you want to come out and RACE for a great cause, or bring your car/club out for the HUGE carshow, please mark your calander and join us for the Winged Warrior Speed Challenge and Carshow. TOP GUN CLASS:
Registration for this event will be here shortly, and will last the month of Feb, leading up to our event on May 10th. (Tech Friday night) at O'Reilly Raceway park in INDY. The TOP GUN CLASS is a new class for us, and you will still run the same disiplines the rest of us will run. However, this class is "Anything goes" with driver changes allowed, as are tire changes. SLICKS ARE ALLOWED!



You will have to line up against some wicked cars in this class, and you are the only "Group" to run on a prepped track- Mega VHT for you.

You will be required to run: (Trophies for)

1. Drag Race (3 runs, then eliminations begin)
2. LARGE and FAST autox course
3. Slalom
4. Racers carshow (actually your group parks together, and is considered your "Break" time.
Low ET added this year, and trophied.

There is a HUGE trophy for winning this class, and there will be 1/2/3rd place trophies also for each discipline. This will be an awesome class, and it is alot of fun to do! Good cause, great fun.

Anyway, if you want to toss your hat in this ring, let me know. There will be tough competition here, Time Attack cars/Shop cars/autox cars, or any car in that vein are what this class is about.

I had a blast taking part in this last year, and watching it the year before.

i just bought a heater for my garage so I could get started working on the car a bit early this year. Gotta get her ready to go!

The starting line up will be picked and posted Sunday night March 30th!!! I thank you guys for letting me post this over here, it is really appreciated by all of us!! I will post, and fill this FIRST post up all day, so we know what is going on when, and where you have to be, and at what time, etc.... Don't post any questions yet, as I will be typing and using my mad "Copy/Paste" skills for your viewing pleasure! LOL.


TECH INSPECTIONS FRIDAY NIGHT:

FRIDAY anytime from 3PM till as late as 11ish we will be doing the tech inspections. You will get your shirts then, stickers for your car (Windshield and car #'s). You can get your stuff and leave if you want, or stick around for the "Midnight Madness" which will be happening at the track. LOTS TO SEE AND DO then. We will have our own area roped off for tech inspection (Area #3) on map.
Those who informed me you cannot tech on Friday, due to distance traveled, you can show up early on Saturday to get your tech done.

If you want to run with the group for the Midnight madness down the strip, you will have to leave the WW area, and enter the main gate and pay your $10 to race with them.

All Racers will get their Official photo taken at tech, which is a nice touch for all you dedicated racers.

RV's Trucks/Trailers will park along area #1. You can leave your gear overnight if you want/need to, as we will be there guarding your stuff.

MVSCC and autocross Peeps: We love you guys/gals so much, you can come in at Noon to scope out the area if you want. :rockon:

VENDORS: You can set up anytime Friday. We will have someone take you to your locations.






RACEDAY:

6:00-7AM: Sweep/jet blow the track clean.

Autox Track will be laid out with cones from 7AM-8AM.

Racers can Show up at the track at 7:30AM.

IMPORTANT: Your cars/classes will be pre-staged in the morning so here is where you have to park once you arrive at the track on SATURDAY MORNING: (we will have traffic personell to help you out)

CLASS A and TOP GUN: Area #2 on map (RACERS carshow parking Area)
CLASS B and C: Area #4 on map (DRAG STAGING AREA)
CLASS D/E/F: Area #5 on map (AUTO-X STAGING AREA)


Course walk will be from 8-9:30AM

GATES OPEN FOR GENERAL PUBLIC AT 9AM!!!


Drivers Meeting is at 9:40AM (For Classes TOP GUN/A/D/E/F ONLY!) Class B&C will be at the Drags, getting ready to run. Class B&C will have your own "Mini" drivers meeting before you start. If you need to get a course walk in then, you will be alloted times to do that then as well.

9:50 Opening Ceremonies, AND National Anthem sung before the start of the racing!! GREEN FLAG DROPS AT 10:00 AM Sharp!!

Reminder: Your RUN pairings and orders:

Class "A" and TOP GUN: Carshow/Autox/Drags
Class "B" and "C": Drags/Carshow/Autox
Class "D" "E" and "F": Autox/drags/Carshow


GENERAL CARSHOW:

Your Gate assignment has to be verified. So far, it looks like you will enter the MAIN GATE!! You will park in area "6" in the above photo. Those coming in groups, you will be directed to your assigned seats. Thanks again for coming in such large groups!

Vehicle Registration: We will have the registration tent area posted/marked when you enter the grounds.

Vehicle registration 9-2PM
Judging: 12PM-4:30 PM
Awards: 5:30PM

MEDIA SHOOTOUT PEOPLE:

Your name will be on a list at the main gate. You say you are there for the Media Shootout, you will be given a VIP Badge at that time. You will then be promptly transported by a cute Chick in a golf cart, who will rush you to your ride, which will be waiting for you on the grid. You get your runs in, and then get rushed back to the front gate by an UGLY dude with a bad rash. I know several of you are covering the events on Pole Day at the track, so we don't want to keep you waiting. :hi:
