LED third brake light purchase details
I was hesistant to post about this problem, but then when I see someone say that I should've only plugged in only ONE plug, that's when it makes me mad. Like I said earlier, that should've been noted in instructions inside the box or posted on here before shipment. What a Saturday night....stuck at home.
Dallas, that is my fault. I wasnt able to post about it before you installed yours.
Please do me a favor, pull the board back out and look at it...see if anything looks shorted out, burnt, etc. I will personally build you a new unit and ship it directly to you.
I dont know why the factory put on 2 connectors, I only requested one. the possibility of 2 becoming a problem didnt occur to me until just this evening
I will be sending out a PM to all of those involved to let them all know only one connector is to be used...
Also, I will make sure personally that there's only 1 connector on any future rounds to avoid any further confusions.
Dallas, something just occured to me...the board is most likely causing a ground.........try unplugging one of the connectors, there may be nothing wrong at all besides the ground......also pm sent

Ok guys, I personally talked with Matt (nitehawk) and fully understand that is is NOT a problem from Modern Performance nor Cory. The manufacturer mistakenly added the extra wiring that shouldn't be on both sides. Only ONE plug should be on there, so as far as we're concerned, CUT IT OFF! IT WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS! I personally apologize for calling out Modern, and I was quick to blame. I will go by the dealership on Monday morning (since they aren't open on Sundays) to get a replacement relay and will post about the problem. Noone should get this part on Sunday nor Monday morning anyway, so you should hear by Monday morning that everything is ok with this board. Just please don't plug in both ends of the board.
Hey Matt, thanks for posting.
Yeah guys, if ANYONE has any problems with their units, please contact me first. I designed them, i know more about them than anyone else and I'm the one that'll be giving out warranty replacements and such...Cory just organized the groupbuy and sold them.

Just to make sure theres no problems, pm me your name, and address and date you sent paypal payment.
Thanks !
Are you kidding me? I plugged in both, and now my brake lights don't work. The running lights work, but the brakes don't. I pulled ALL fuses, and none are blown. So this probably means I need a new brake switch or relay. This should've been said in advance guys. I'm a little disappointed, and now I can't go anywhere tonight because I have no working brake lights.
It seemed weird to me that the boards had two plugs, but I was so brain fried from typing up 25 invoices, making 25 boxes, wrapping 25 boards, writing out 25 shipping labels that it didnt actually compute in my brain! Hehe.
Nitehawk, thank you for helping take care of this situation with DallasCobalt!
Btw guys, Ill be making another thread for photos. Please post your installed photos in this new thread.
