So I have an 09 lt and I am piecing a SC kit together. When I bought the car it had the sport package on the outside with the fog lights. I replaced the wing to a high rise because I like the look. It has rear drums(which I'm considering swapping out for discs) and its automatic. Sucks but I like it. I want to know how I can find out what kind of transmission I have because I want to upgrade it (if possible) (I don't know if I can with it being an automatic and I don't know if that makes a difference) but I need to know what kind of transmission I have in order to do that.

 

And I'm new to this so go easy. Live in phx, az. Slowly learning how to work on cars so I'm no expert. I might ask obvious questions but only for reassurance.
