Smile Adam from DF Kit Car

Hey everybody. I'm Adam from Red Oak, TX (just south of Dallas). I've had a Cobalt since 2009 (red 09 LT XFE... not very exciting, I know) and a Cobalt powered Goblin since 2015 (09 LAP with ZZP supercharger kit).

Here's a photo my Cobalt towing the Goblin on the way to Tail of the Dragon.

That's awesome lol. I'm sure you guys got all kinds of WTF looks going down the highway towing those things behind a pair of Cavaliers.

Only use the goblin on the track or do you drive it around?

They are registered for street use. Here they are on the street at Tail of the Dragon:

Looks like they handle pretty well. As long as my motor and trans are still decent when the cobalt wears out my plan will be to purchase one of these and swap. Probably would struggle with the lightweight and turbo. Looks fun.

Even if your equipment is a little worn, it only has to work half as hard in a Goblin (1400-1500 lbs vs 2800-3000lbs). Sounds like a good retirement plan for an aging Cobalt.

The tow vehicles were Cobalts. We drove from Dallas to Tail of the Dragon in Tennessee/North Carolina for the 2016 CobaltNation and EcotectNation event. We definitely stood out.

EcotectNation's post from instagram (hopefully this works)... it didn't work so here's the photo instead.

I know they were Cobalts. I was more or less just referencing how ignorant people always call them Cavaliers. Bad joke on my part lol.

Its neat that you haul them with Ecotecs as well.
