I first fount the, at rock auto then the mevotech dot com site.
They list 2 that look like forged AL lca with their higher end using phosphted hdw and sales pitch.
They claim they are for FE3.

I cant see any need for 08 FE5 lca due to the different knuckel.

Just to clear some things up you can put the TC Cobalt FE5 lower control arms on an older Cobalt without problem. Yes ball joint shaft the locks into the steering knuckle is a slightly bigger diameter but the mounting point on the knuckle can be expanded slightly with no adverse side effects. I've done it, it's fine and Powell approved. I would recommend spherical trailing control arm bushings of some kind.

I don't think FE5 end links will work very well if at all with the FE1 sway bar. The end links are different lengths for both setups.

Are you doing anything with your rear springs and dampers? I've got a pair of pretty much new rear TC Cobalt FE5 dampers if you are looking for some as I swapped mine out for Koni's.

Edit: I forgot to add, if you plan on installing a stiffer front FE5 23 or 24mm bar I would recommend installing a rear bolt on sway bar first.

Yes i would be intrested.
And thanks for the image.
I have ordered MEVOTECH CMS50173 and 50174 LCAs. Yours is the first post to adress the 250mm links.
Does the fe5 sway bar have ends that project up higher or are the springs that much shorter?

The mounting point on the front strut assemblies are the same. I ran FE5 struts with my old sway bar/end links before swapping to the 24mm bar. It is the sway bars that are configured different.

Edit: if you are interested in rear shocks, send me a PM and we can work something out.

So 2 ea delco 560582 shocks with a 506683 And 506684 struts should arrive by friday. Along with the LCAs.
I did not order the strut bearings or spring cushions. My plan was to do the struts and shocks then see how the BC rides. Then decide is i want stiffer springs.

Right now i have a few a few things that worry me. One of those are the suprise in removing the LCA bolts.
Impact in hand, i have no idea if they are rust welded in or what.
There is a thread over on the ss net about a Canadian that was ripped off to the tune of $1700 for R&R of his LCAs and the torch marks on the bottom of the lower mounting flange.
Somfun &games.

The next thing i need to do is find a Rh front inner fender.
Mine is MIA. Just havent gone to the spare parts bin looking. At $45 new from GM. Not expecting it to be difficult find.

So here is the LCA
They are MEVOTECH CMS50173 and CMS50174
Do you think the bushings should be swapped out for something better?

Doing the steering wheel install will be intresting.
That is adding the 4 wires to the clock spring and routing over tomthe bcm & radio.
Now this car has the upgraded radio (mp3) so some of the wires may be there.
I dont know where to find the build sheet of if gm still putts a rot sheet in their cars anymore.
