Here is the part list. He’s asking 13,000 but second went out. He also stated because it’s a 6 speed race trans with a stage 5 kit that the flywheel has chatter. Kinda sounds like ****. Hoping you guys can help

Chatter on a lightweight fly wheel is normal when engaging not saying that it’s guaranteed healthy though. Make sure clutch feels firm and engages smoothly. Being single mass it will be a bit harder to be smooth with it and will take a few more rpm’s to keep from stalling but nothing too crazy.
there is allot of money in the power train there so if it’s not hurt it’s good value. The trans being built with lsd isn’t cheap but you still need to factor In rebuilding it for the second gear issue. The f40s are kind known for this unfortunately. Hopefully it’s a good rebuildable core in that regard.
realistically making 900hp with just a turbo upgrade isn’t gonna happen. The engine should be able to take what you throw at it it’s quite stout with that build. It will be very very responsive with that efr setup though.
most your realistically gonna be able to get even with a bigger turbo and e85/ fuel mods to match. 700 is attainable. There’s very few people who have gotten past that. You would need some huge unresponsive turbo.
zzp made around 900whp back in the day on an lsj but those have more power potential for several reasons. Big one being able to rev the hell out of them if modded correctly.

that build seems like allot of bang for the buck if it’s healthy.

I don’t know if I want to tear it all down just to put a new trans in it though. If I’m gonna pay 13 I might as well find one with no problems.

Also what transmissions can I put in it. He currently has the Saab f40 but I thought ss’s came with the f35. Would I be able to use just a standard transmission that non ss cobalts came with. Obviously I would be facing reliability issues with that much power. Just wanting to weigh my options

Standard was the F35.

Most common answer now is what I'll be doing when my stocker grenades, swap in the base model F23. Stronger than the F35 and ~$300 to replace if you ever blow it up. Obviously that'd be after getting necessary parts for the swap.

Well the f40 is stronger then the f35 as well and don’t need any extra parts to mount it

Yeah honestly since you already have the f40 kit I would just source another f40 to replace it. Having the 6 speed and stronger trans is a good idea with the kinda power you’re making. F23 is stronger than an f35 and comes in many final drive options. I personally would get the current f40 rebuild. I wouldn’t want a non lsd trans myself. That transmission with the lsd added and clutch setup and install kit would have been over 4500$ if a rebuild can fix it for less than a 1000 I’d say it’s a i
win. That lsd alone was worth over 1000$

Now the real question is is it worth buying the car for 13k then buying a new trans and having to take it completely apart because it’s almost impossible to drop the trans without taking out the motor if you don’t have a lift. I don’t have a lift

That’s really up to you. I’d say the parts in that car make it worth that much even with a damaged trans. Would I personally pay that much. No.
really up to you what you want to do with a car long term. If you’re not interested in big hp numbers and want a reliable quick car then get something a little more stock for less money.
mid you plan to make upwards of 450whp on a car. There’s allot of expensive mods in that one already wouod
probably save you money long term.
Ask yourself what your power goals are and how you’ll be using the car.
