Hahn racecraft tune and blow off valve.

Have had my mind set on getting a bov from Hahn racecraft along with one of their custom tunes lately. I've already got their charge air piping and cai kits so I feel the need to get the bov. Thoughts ?

Dont need to. Their bov is one of the worst setups anyways.

you want a bov go with HKS, Tial, or ZZP. remember though if you go bov you have to get re tuned and to do it properly you should do a maf relocate and that means getting new cold side piping. If you want to the blow off louder just get the forge bpv.

Everything I've gotten from Hahn has been pretty bomb so far I don't get why your saying this lol. For a company that makes products customized for our cars, they sure have a lot to back. It's not like their a random eBay company. They make quality **** mane

there stuff is ok. the turbo kit they offer is nice. but their charge pipes rust and when your comparing them to ZZP and other companies they arent even close. some people like their stuff and others just stay away because ZZP has the best name in the business for our cars for a reason. plus hahn's prices are high. you could have got a Tial bov for a lot cheaper. their intercooler is $200 more then zzp lol. the list goes on man. thats why not many people buy hahn, with a company like zzp around

Hope your tuner knows what he is doing. Also $450 is kind of stout for a tune unless it's on a Dyno.

His lingo makes me think hes a young kid. If your not relocating your maf or recirculating i really dont care how good you think your buddy is at tuning hes doing it the wrong way unless he advises you to relocate your maf or recirculate. If hes street tuning you or 450 bucks id get some new friends.

I'm not ignoring anyone I've just stuck with Hahn and feel like continuing on with them. Also, the intake pipe did rust a little bit after about 4 years of not touching it and I simply removed it and refinished it. B

Hey dude if I really need a maf relocate I'm sure my tuner will inform me. He has access to a dyno but is doing an hp tune. I'm not hating on anyone here, I'm still learning about my car as I've only just started to do real mods other than simple air pipes

Let me explain it to you like this....... point blank.

If your venting to atmosphere you NEED a maf relocate. End of story. The car spikes rich because metered air leaves the system. There is no tuning around this because you cannot change what is happening.

Now if you are using a recirculating blow off valve you do not need a maf relocate because the system always stays closed and the metered air remains in the system.

Theres no debating this topic.

Ive beaten this topic to death. I have 12 legal years of automotive experience and ive been wrenching since i was 10. I have a total of nearly 7 years with ecotec based platforms Ive been on a top fuel team, nitro powered nostalgia drag teams, i road race and have a drag car and i currently build chassis for a living. Just to give you an idea of a little bit of my background.

Thanks for the info. I spent a few hours reading about recirculating the air and came to the conclusion there was no point in spending the extra money so i just got the standard bov. How would you relocate the maf sensor? And wouldn't you be able to fine tune it so that the setup stays the same? The guys over at Hahn rarely respond and never give people like me a detailed explanation of things like this unless you have years of experience like yourself...

Well you already made your decision going against what was told to you so now you have to relocate your maf sensor. You can search on here in the how to section for how to relocate the maf. It will cost you some money, but good luck with your system and tune.
