having problems

having problems

I have a 2009 Cobalt LT, this morning the battery was dead and we went to jump it from the hood long enough to get the trunk up to get to the battery. the car started but now the speedometer doesnt work and it wont shift out of 1st. Thanks

Did you hook up the cables the wrong way at first? Easy way to damage lots of electrical components. Also don't forget your battery is already 5 years old if it's the original and could probably use a replacement.
