Hello from AZ!!

Hey everyone! Just picked up my new to me 2009 TC SS a few days ago! Quite the upgrade from my LS and I'm loving it so far. Been lurking around here for a few weeks trying to get some information but being that this is my first turbocharged/performance car I've owned I'm a little new to this all and could use some guidance. So forgive me if I sound like a noob as I am one

A little info about the car, got it with 50,000 some miles on it, came with the RPD and the optional larger spoiler and a few aftermarket goodies. Waiting for the official parts list but from what I've can tell its got aftermarket cold air intake, catback, down pipe, charge pipe and according to the dealer it has a tune. New to the whole tune thing so I have a loose grasp on what exactly a tune is/does so I have no idea.

Problems I've encountered thus far are that the sunroof isn't working (getting fixed), and the shifter has some slop in it and occasionally will grind when I stick it in reverse. I've read about the roll pins breaking being a problem but I can't say for sure what the problem is. I've ordered a new short throw from Billet Pro Shop so if the problem persists after I install it what do guys suggest the problem could be?

I'd like to do some more mods to the car but have no idea where to start since there already is some work done to it. Been reading up on the trifecta tune, anyone suggest this? I would like to get some more power and better handling without sacrificing any reliability so if any one has any suggestions let me know! Thanks!

I'm from PA originally, going home for the holidays. I'm about 45 minutes north of Harrisburg

Nice car brah. Bonus you got the RPD. Does it have LSD(Limited-slip Diff) aswell? Check under your trunk carpet look for G85 on the gray code sticker. Hopefully cause it's nice to have.

You need to find out what type of tune it has on it. GMS1, Trifecta, and HPT are the 3 mains. But there are some other's. Than consider a re-tune according to what mods are on it/what you want to keep or change. If it's GMS1 You're in luck you can tune HPT or trifecta whichever you prefer. If it's already been flashed with HPT or Trifecta you can stick to the platform or ask on how to switch if you find out you prefer the other.

Shifter for me is also sloppy compared to other cars I've driven. You can get thing's tightened up down there they stretch with age. Also from the picture looks like possibly aftermarket already? Or maybe just the ball? Find out more about the reverse grinding cause tranny's are $$ if not under warranty.

Thanks for the reply, it does have a limited slip diff, whats the advandage over whatever comes standard? Also how can I find out what tune it has? The dealer doesn't have any info on it, I've yet to try and get any info from the previous owner, gotta get his number from the dealer

Sorry for the noobish questions lol, can anyone point me towards a good place where I can learn about different tunes and how they work?
