Yellow Bastard
Well... I bought this because it was fun to drive and I needed a new car for cheap, quick, when my cherished '95 Olds Cutlass was stolen. This Cobalt has given me nothing but trouble, since then!
Replaced so far: worn out wiper arms, power steering motor, front rotors and pads, rear brakes except for the actual drum, and spark plugs.
It's throwing up some new electrical issues now though, which I posted a thread about elsewhere. I like to do a lot of work on my own car, but I'm still pretty inexperienced, so this thing is incredibly frustrating...
Funny though... drove it 900 miles one weekend with no trouble at all!
It's a 2005 Cobalt LS coupe, 2.2L with roughly 112k miles on it. No mods that I'm aware of.

Except for the power steering module, which did get replaced under the original recall. I checked with GM on that.
Yeah, I figure that'll happen when you buy a used car. Though one usually hopes some of that stuff will have been done before you get it, instead of all breaking down in a few months after purchase. Oh well!

Hah, the wiper arms were the most ridiculous thing! They were worn to a point where they only didn't have enough traction to move... in the rain. If it wasn't raining, they were fine. Fortunately they're pretty easy to get through gmpartsdirect.com
Betting a lot of people here are pretty familiar with that website lol

By the way, can anybody recommend someplace to buy a shifter knob for an automatic that does NOT have a plastic button? The one on mine is broken. Looks like it's easy to change out, just don't want to put a plastic button back on there because I'll only have to replace it again...
