The color looks like laser blue metallic. You have a LSJ 2.0 engine in it. You can also check the sticker in the trunk. It will tell you if it has the G85 package.

You have the G85 package, which is the Ricaro seats and the LSD. Down that same line, reads 'LSJ', and next line 'MU3'. LSJ = Engine type. MU3 = Transmission.

You can also buy a vehicle report from your local DMV, you just give them then VIN and they'll print everything out about the car.

I should mention that last sequence of your sticker, the 'U 218M' is your paint code. It's called "Laser Blue Metallic".

Probably not homemade as there were several manufactures back in the day that offered headers. It doesn't appear to be ZZP.

https://zzperformance.com/collection...-shorty-header

It could also have been a ebay special.

yea wasn't realizing that I was looking for a reliable motor I gave away my cavalier thinking it was gonna be the same running like a champ nomatter what you put it thru it still goes plowed a deer and pushed the frame against the radiator and the belt donno how it didn't smash everything in the front end beyond repair had to pull off the road and use someone's crowbar and cheater to get the front off the belt enuff to get home and then it was chain and reverse time lol still had no leaks in the radiator or engine oil still drove it another year or two and had no problems hell I didn't even change the oil not once the whole time or radiator coolant and probably still not to this day and it will still start and run like it did when I had first got it thats what I thought I was buying with the cobalt man o man was the **** hitting me in the face off that fan I had only been interested in dirtbikes and 4 wheelers I can tell you all for a 4 wheeler a Yamaha and 2 stroke dirtbike kawasaki and 4 stroke will have to be Honda lol geez should have stayed with what I know but getting to old for it now new to the constant repairs required not new to the adrenaline and knowledge of sports and physics figured I'd get a 4 banger so I don't kill myself lol all ***** hell I push scotters to their limit I figured I'd get my noob out and change the way people introduce themselves thats how I have done it this whole time

Years ago 2005 I was good everyone wanted me to see what there bike had i assume its sorta like that with cars

Me and my daughter about 6 years ago

Thats cool man! I have always built cars. It started back in the 90s with my dad. I have built several over the years. Although with my new Charger R/T I have left it mostly stock. My kids love cars too. Especially my oldest. he is a big car guy.

hi black I have been dealing with alot of other things but I started on the car finally I wanted to check the sc coolant pump turned the ignition on and I heard the pump running kinda loud I have the option b dual pass kit and didn't see any bubbles in the overflow on the left tank also took care of the o2 sensor codes I replaced upstream and downstream got looking at the exhaust and where it connects to the header there was some oil that looked like it was building there also took the plugs out and 2 of them I think was covered in oil and the other 2 seemed like they was burning and 1 of them had a helix core or whatever it's called in it but not like a spring more like a bigger plug used for thred but anyways i got the supercharger off and the intake off cleaned the cold air intake filter the throttle body also checked the vacuum line on the supercharger and it held vac but got to the intake and it had oil in it prob about 2 or 3 Oz. But didn't see any coolant in it the cores they look like the need took out and cleaned but not sure if I should does it need to be cleaned I have new zzp o-rings if so. I got the intake off it looked like they had gasket maker on and no gasket from intake to the motor and the pcv or check valve is letting air go both ways in it not sure if I need a new one or what but can't find one.! the valve cover gasket was like plastic on one side of the motor and one of the spark plug seals was hard like that as well I was able to see a little bit of the top of the piston and oil was on a couple of them as well I'm thinking because the valve cover gasket i have checked the dip stick and no water or shavings in it from what I could tell I got new oil and a filter and going to drain soon and inspect it more but yea hoping this fixes it not really wanting to tear it all down but the timing chain or that side of the motor was starting to rattle or tick some that I have not looked into much it has 15 teeth between the 2 cams intake is at 2 exhaust is at about 10 or 11 any other things I should check open to any suggestions thanks for all the support
