Hey guys!!
Im Billy, and I recently picked up a 2006 Saturn Ion Redline. I live on the northshore in Louisiana, so if anyone is in the area, hit me up!!
Anyway, I joined the Cobalt forum to try and help learn some more, as well as help others. Ive been on RLF for a while now, and have learned a lot. And lately I have been browsing this site also as trying to fix things coming up with my car.

Welcome! I've always liked RedLines.

 

My first car was an 03 Ion sedan (which I still have, and use as my DD now) and that's how I found out about the Redline. My ex actually had an 08 Cobalt sedan, and I loved it. So I'm a fan of either. My mom and dad were big Saturn people, and I grew up in them, that's probably why I love them so much, and know how reliable they are.

front bumper definitely needs to be repainted, most of it looks like that. probably will have the rear bumper painted too.



This is the worst tear. But all the seats have cigarette burn holes, and the rear seat looks like someone tried cutting a square out in it, so I will have them professionally fixed soon.

And the guy plasti-dipped quite a bit of the car that was "fading", and it doesn't look so good. All that needs to be fixed too.

do you have posted anywhere how you painted the grill(?) like, around the fogs?

 

No, I just kinda fumbled my way through figuring out how it came off the car. Then sanding, primer, paint, clear.

yea, I was originally gonna do red. and I thought it through. just to many people do it. I think the yellow looks really good on yours! a yellow accent on your wheels would probably look pretty cool too!
