Talking Hey Guys!

My name is Erick and I recently had the pleasure of owning my first TC SS. It is my second Cobalt, I bought the car at 58k miles, but it has a few issues here and there. I was hoping maybe someone had any advice for me since all I know up to now are NA cars. The speedometer doesnt track the speed, cruise control doesnt work, the plastic pcv in the line into the intake is broken due to an aftermarket intake pipe, the coolant temperature sensor doesn't work, and it seems the guy also replaced the cam sprockets on the vehicle. As of now car peaks at 25 lbs. I appreciate any help you lnf wizards have to offer

Since your missing the speedo and cruise, start at the VSS to see if it is still plugged in or defective.

I'd get that pcv line fixed. You're letting in unmetered air that could be causing fuel trim issues. I'm sure your speedo and cruise issues are the same cause. Sounds like your issues are not FI related.

So I checked out my wheels speed sensors and cleaned them down for any possible dirt or grime in the way. Is there anyway to change the wheel speed sensor without replacing the hub? I've ordered a pcv hose connection but since the line is a bit under tension I'm going to need to elongate the cable or shorten the intake.

Not the wheel speed sensors... The Vehicle Speed sensor on the transaxle.

The WSS's are for the ABS

If you have a multimeter and can lift the front wheels off the ground, it will generate an AC voltage when the wheels start turning.

So I pulled out the vehicle speed sensor today and it was coated in some weird greasy gel like substance around the cylinder wall. I would assume this could be causing some interference with the magnet, but it's not even on the surface of where the gear grooves pass by.

That doesn't affect it.
