Hi, Im Trevor and I'm addicted

Hey everyone, thought id introduce myself. Im Trevor, got an 08 cobalt ss. So far havent done a whole lot to it. Just been looking through the forums getting ideas. Previous owner didn't do a good job of keeping up on the car so I've been dealing with that, all worth it though. Plans for the summer include wheels, some lowering springs, downpipe, exhaust, gotta replace all the charge piping and intercooler thanks to the previous owner. Gonna remove the wing and do some other body work, taking car of some rusting issues. Front bumper doesn't seem to line up right seems to be a normal issue so ill have to do some research on that. Anyway good to be here. See you all around.

Ill get some pics when i get the chance, cars a mess at the moment. Just threw a P2178 code, from what I'm reading its a boost leak or intercooler crack, am i correct on that? Just from inspecting the charge piping i noticed there was a rub on the pipe coming from the turbo down to the intercooler with the hood, didn't notice that before, that could potentially be the leaking area do you guys think that would be the problem?

Start at your intake, check all connections

Then you will probably want to do a boost leak test. Can use soapy water or spray, or build a tester out of PVC.

Could be any of the charge pipes or intercooler.
