how much boost is safe for stock motor

I just bought a 2010 ss tc with 63,000 miles on it. It has a 3 inch stainless steel turbo back exhaust without a cat A 2.5 inch intake system with an aftermarket intercooler and bov. It has an hp tune in it and at wot it tops out at 25 psi but it spools to 25 at about 3.5 4 k rpm I don't think it's safe so I've been babying it any opinions

My assumption is that the turbo will run out of steam well before the motor blows. People have been making more power on stock internals with an upgraded turbo that the K04 will never reached.

I'd be more worried about the longevity of the turbo, but 24 PSI sounds fine.

What's a mild boost pressure to run for a daily driver

GM Stage 1 is around 20-21 psi. 23-24 is considered safe.

If you want a good reliable tune, contact Termi or someone. Tell them you want a 24psi tune and you want boost ramp to prevent torque spike.

That will save your engine and tranny in the long run and give great power up top.

Term is one of the more reputable tuners on the site that can remote tune via HP Tuners. a local dyno can tune, but the majority of people on here say it's better to go with one of the forum guys or someone that knows the platform well, rather than a standard shop that isn't as experienced with our platform. I think his actual username is Term2 or Terminator2 or something.

It all depends who tuned the car. For example, if James Rakes tuned your car many would say it's unsafe
