You're going to want to invest in a turbo or a tvs supercharger. And supporting mods of course.

Read threads in the forums. There is a ton of info in the LSJ tech section that will literally answer your question. Start with the stickies that are interesting (obviously don't read the turbo thread since you're not going that route)

zzperformance has a stage 3 kit but that wont get you to your 300hp mark. I know there is a couple build threads on this site which people have reach 300hp without a tvs or turbo. Maybe look through some of those.

here ya go:

The closest you'll get safely and cheapest will be 2.8 pulley, 80 # injectors, full exhaust, full cooling mods, modded stock intake, and a good e85 tune. I would think you'd be around 280, without doing any very difficult mods, port that head and get cams, then you'll see that 300!

80# injectors, e85 fuel, 2.6-2.7 pulley, full catless exhaust, full cooling mods, intake and p&p blower will get you close to 300whp on stock engine with the stock blower.

Without e85, you'll have to go TVS.

with 2k on an lsj you can make easy 350-400whp if you look around hard enough.. easy 300whp if you ask me with that kind of budget..

$ 40 - 2.7 pulley used
$150 - 80lbs inhectors used
$300 - header, dp, heat exchager used
$250-300 good ass E85 tune

find your self a used ported head with some cams or so and thats either 300whp or very close to it for less than $1200.

DONE

He said no e85 or nos so unless he gets 100%METH or someone to show him whats up that he aint getting close with that

Op getting 300whp out of a lsj for 2k is doable but you will be doing all installs and waiting around to find used parts and without e85 or meth i dunno

How about instead of focusing on a number you focus on making a fun driving car? With 2k you can easily get all the parts listed above , run gasoline and still have a quick fun to drive car. Will it be as fast as the skittle probably not, but it wont be boost leak city at least.

Btw you wont get anywhere near 300 with any canned tune, it is very important to find a competent lsj tuner near you.

Lastly try looking around a little lots of good info here

THIS^

the lnf is a factory powerhouse (beware of porous block though)

the lsj can be a powerhouse but youll have the same or more $$$ and a shitload more time invested as you would if you bought the lnf to begin with. Unless you buy an already swapped LSJ-T that's in good shape.

300 on nitrous/93 sounds better and better everyday to me, and im considering something like this. I don't really want to use it everyday, but it sure would make me feel nice and cozy knowing its there.
