are my headers right or wrong???

So I bought headers for my 2.2 months ago but finally found someone to put them on and when he goes to do it he says there is no egr port on then so they can't go on my car. Do I need to buy new headers now? Or is there a way around this??? Please help!!

Well it seams as if you got ripped off, if you bought some headers for your 2.2 and you only received a single header. Its a single bank so its a header not headers.

Is a EGR required in your state?

I believe no Ecotec engine came with an EGR (verified by Google) so whoever is putting in your header is mistaken. But you may have this: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-2l...88/#post628625

EGR and SAI same concept (lower exhaust emissions by different methods)

its not the same concept, exhaust gas re-circulation is completely different from secondary air injection. Yes they both lower exhaust emissions, but they work on entirely different principles.

Headers, header..whatever. Idk if it's required or not. I live in pa. And mine is a 2007. But will what I bought work for my car or do I need one that has the egr port?

Its the same concept of lowering exhaust emissions, not the same method.

Ok well the SAI would explain why after I put on my intake I have this piece hanging around doing nothing. Which is also another concern of mine. Should I have that piece plugged or filtered. But still going back to my original question. Can I use my header that I bought for my car

It's the same header badmab sells and claims to be theirs.

It's a ching ching chong header.

You would be better off with a ported stock manifold.

You can easily remove it but you'll need to program your ECU in order to turn off the CEL. If PA is like AZ you won't pass emissions until you do that.
