New cobalt owner here to say hi from NY :)
Hey Everyone!,
Just wanted to stop in and say hi to everyone on here. My names Paul, Im from the Buffalo NY area and just picked up an 07 cobalt Ls 2 door 5 speed. I traded it for my first project car I never finished which was a 95 camaro z28.
Well lets just say this car is not my taste at all and will need a pretty large make over to be up to my standards. This car will most likely be given to my girlfriend since she totaled her 11 civic 2 door a few months back and i was starting to build hers up for her.
I will post a picture of the car with my posting but it is ugly imo. It has 3 of 4 pieces of an aftermarket body kit, an aftermarket hood that was rhino lined for god knows what reason. ss style spoiler, aftermarket 15 inch rims, stock suspension so it sits wayyyyy to high and looks goofy. some aftermarket halos that are all hazed over. aftermarket exhaust header back (unsure of the brand) drilled and slotted rotors up front. and an ugly beat up interior with cigarette burns and light colored interior trims/ door panels. It only has 70k on it but its just too riced out and cheaply set up for me.
I am currently in training for CSX to become a conductor so Im out of state until the middle of may but when I get back home I plan to start working on the car.
Im into high end car audio so I mild but very clean build will be going into it for the girlfriend. I dont plan on making it a go fast car since its just a na 2.2 but a clean daily car that can hang and catch eyes at local car meets.
My plans consist of the following:
removing the body kit and finding ss bumper and skirts (I know the ss guys hate it but i really dont care, it is the only nice looking body kit for these cars)
painting the interior a darker color
painting the dash bezel the color of the girlfriends choice
reupholstering the door inserts headliner and rear deck
installing my girlfriends double din from her civic
retinting the windows at 5% all around
lowing the car on h&r springs and fe5 shocks and struts
removing the spoiler
restoring the headlight lenses
de-badgeing the car
getting a little bigger rim (most likely 17s)
and building a 4th order bandpass enclosure for a single 10/12 on about 1,500 rms.
heres a pic of the butcher job that i need to bring back from hell lol

Welcome! Coincidentally, I have good used interior pieces and seats for that car. Keep me in mind and we can discuss more about what you need if you'd like. You aren't far away either.
Thank you all for the warm welcomes and not being harsh on the disaster that the previous owner left me with the cars cosmetics lol.
Yes let me know what ya have exactly and we can chat more, I will be driving through pa on my way back from training down in Atlanta and i drove down my winter truck so i will have room. Im going to a local pick and pull place this week after training for the day when i have the extra time. it has almost 20 cobalts listed in their inventory... hoping i come across an ss *fingers crossed*
