New to Cobalts, not to cars

I just bought a 2010 Cobalt SS as a daily with some power. I also have a 94 Trans Am that makes 502 rwhp so I'm not new to modding cars but turbos and small motors are new to me. Just thought I'd poke my head in here to learn what i can about my new car.

Welcome! Are you going to be modding it or just staying stock?

GM Stage 1 is the safe way to go, a hp tune is where you can make the most power.

I reccomend a short ram intake and catless downpipe to start. You'll eventually want to get rid of the plastic upper charge pipe and stock intercooler as well.

Upload your pics to photobucket and paste the image code here.

gms1 is safe if still under warranty. if not, then hp tuners is the way to go. intake/charge pipes/intercooler/catless dp + tune will net you a very fun daily driver with well over 300whp

yea, my car still has a lot of warranty left on it. i know the stage 1 kit will retain it but im wondering if the intake and cat back are going to kill it

Depends on what dealer you take it too. Just keep your stock parts and put them back on if you need warranty work.

whats all done to the T/A? Ive always loved the LT1 motor, just too bad it gets horribly overshadowed by the optispark, and the Ls1

Depending on your budget, you should look into advanced induction. They do great work with porting stock heads
