Hey folks just checking in, new to the forum and cobalts. I picked up this 06 ss sc g85 from a friend for smoking deal. I'm trying to return it to near "stock" condition, since I have never owned a new car. Mods that I have done to the car are K&N intake, zzp mid header w/ catted dp, zzp stg 3 with dual pass, stealth heat exchanger, option b, 2.7, zzp adjustable tensioner, LS4 tb, gm stg1 axles, 80#injectors, e85, ottp stg2 cams, 82# springs. Going to the dyno to get tuned on the 20th. Thanks for looking!

Welcome, good looking sunburst you got. Front end damage I'm guessing?

 

Somebody pulled out in front of my friend when he owned it 2 years ago and the body shop apparently didn't fix the frame damage properly. I found out that bumper rebar and brackets were bent when I had the bumper off for the intercooler install. Then it kind of snowballed out of control from there, freshening everything up. No salvage title and its fixed to spec, so I cant complain!

 

I wish the 5280 cobalt group would have more meet ups. I'm down to cruise

 

Do you have everything you need to finish the front end?

 

Yeah the front end is back on it now, I just don't have any pics at the moment. I'll probably reshoot the car next spring, the orange is a little faded on the roof.

 

Was this the one for sale off Sheridan and I76?

 

No it actually came from Nebraska, the infamous Neil Young used to own it haha. I don't know why, but I get a kick out of having a famous name as the previous owner on my title

Welcome and beautiful job!!! Absolutely love the color! I honestly never see any Cobalts that color around here! Really couldn't see "the" Neil Young driving that! Lol

 

Yeah I know, it's been pathetic these last few years. I'm usually the organizer but since my car's been down since October not much has happened. Hope to get it finished in a month or so and I'll definitely organize a cruise to celebrate Luci being back on the road then!!
