I leased a Smart Car for my commute to keep the Subaru in the garage

43 MPG for $150/month was cheaper than driving the Subaru at 19 mpg and I get to keep miles off my fun car.

That may have been the case but it's hard to know about new style stuff until the old breaks. Before I purchased the car it seemed that it was built pretty good from what I read (engine/trans wise) but unless you know a specific problem it's hard to find info on it sometimes. As soon as I heard the chain rattling I googled it and came up with the new style tensioner. After pulling the VC and seeing the bolt wedged between the chain and head I googled that and found info on it.

The cost/mileage savings cannot negate the humiliation.

What lease allows 30,000 miles a year
