New here looking to upgrade my LS
Welcome. As far as trading for an SS it all depends on what the OP wants to do. If you want a lot more power and its your DD save up for trading in, if it isn't your DD or you have a second car go for just realize its going to be expensive and time consuming.
All this base model hate. So much for a community...
I wouldn't go too nuts with a base model. I got the intake, exhaust, and a chip...the Premium Ricer Package...I threw on a set of wheels and a CF hood too. Might do exhaust headers but nothing planned for the suspension. I've seen some decent looking base models that move but if you're looking to go full bore then an SS should be a consideration. No point in spending $3000 in a turbo kit when they already built a turbocharged engine right out of the factory.
I keep it simple.

I'd say either get an sc kit from mongo, or a turbo kit from zzp. But everybody else seems to think non ss's aren't worth a whole lot. At least don't waste money only bolt ons. Save up for boost and do it right the first time
