New Member/Cobalt Owner from Virginia!
Hello everyone,
My name is John, 20 years old, and I live in Fredericksburg, VA. I bought my first Cobalt about a week ago after totaling my truck. It's a 2006 SS S/C and has about 133k miles. Everything is pretty much stock except for an Injen CAI (Which is fucked up), Magnaflow muffler, and a couple of poorly done cosmetic changes.
Things that need working on:
- New CAI. The one that was already on the car has a hole in it.
- Back-up light switch. Just ordered it from my local dealer.
- Delco belt is wearing down. I ordered it a few days ago and I'm picking it up today.
- One of the actuators on the passenger side near the glovebox makes a knocking noise for about 5-10 seconds on startup. I need to figure out which actuator it is because the dealer wants over $100 just to diagnose it and probably much more to fix.
- Exterior. Bumper has a dent, numerous scratches around the whole body, side skirt clips broke on driver side, and the wheels are really scratched and beat up so I'd like to plasti dip those.
- Interior. The inside is red and black but the previous owner painted some of the trim and did a really shitty job so I might plati dip that back to something closer to the factory look.
Some upgrades that I plan on doing in the near future are:
- ZZP Stage 2 Kit.
- Hurst short throw shifter. The stock shift knob was fucked up and I've tried putting on aftermarket ones but they aren't working either so I'm just going to say **** it and buy a whole new and much better shifter.
- Maybe start upgrading the exhaust.
