Hi everyone, Just purchased a 09 Cobalt SS turbo sedan. I've wanted one of these cars since having kids/selling my 06 Cobalt SS SC in 2013. Between then and now i drove a 03 Toyota matrix xrs then 08 honda civic si. Neither were much fun in actuality but definitely had the feelings of it if that makes much sense. At the time I didn't know about the limited production but over the years realized these are what I would consider the unicorns of Cobalts with the extreme rarity and only 91 sold in my country. I've only ever seen 4 examples of a turbo sedan in real life and my new ride included lol. It has typical Cobalt stuff like cabs and sway bar links toast and possible timing tensioner issues or worn stuff there but prepared to fix it. It rattle knocks for a half second on startup and will rattle chatter on a cold start/warmup when its up to temp everything is quiet in that respect. Hopefully just a tensioner but prepared again to fix. It's a prestine example for its age and being Canadian. It has apparently never been winter driven and looks of it underneath as there still paint on rockers and no rust other then suspension pieces. Even the turbo and wastegate are a natural metallic color and not all surface rusted. Completely stock other then genuine gm stage 1 tune and sensors and is absolutely scary fast compared to my totally bolted 06. 150+psi across all 4 for compression. I love it and so does the wife and especially the kids. Exact same insurance price as the civic and about the same milage per tank. If you ask me it's a win. 143,000kms on the odometer.

Awesome car brotha. I have your twin lol. 2007 Pontiac G5 GT Sedan. Same thing with mine it's rare I've only seen the coupe version but no GT Sedan models. I've had my car since new and decided to tear it all apart and restore it a few years ago. I have a supercharger that is ported that I will hopefully get installed next year.

potentially down the road. I want to refinish my 18s in a gold/bronze over the winter. Just got back from picking up a set of SS NA 17s for winter. Not sure if I'll refinish them as they are just for winter maybe next year cause they are rough but in due time. Just trying to get everything lined up and done before the **** (snow) falls and yes I'm winter driving it for the first time 😬 I plan on having this car a long time so it'll get regular weekly maybe twice a week baths in the winter time to try and keep salt and grime down. Along with yearly undercoating

Nice brotha. The gold will look sick I'm sure. Yeah I hear ya about the salt lol. I'm from Nova Scotia so the winters down here are trash. Salt all over the roads. That was one of the main reasons i decided to restore my car because my rockers got destroyed/rotted plus old ass rusted suspension parts. I did all new suspension, plus new braided brake lines and braided fuel lines. I got a lot of parts from ZZP and OTTP. If you plan on really gearing up your car definitely check both of those companies out brotha.

haha tks brotha I appreciate the compliment. I use a lot of Mother's car products including their carnuba wax and clay bar. Its helped big time keeping it looking factory fresh over the years.
