Red 09 SSTC, bought yesterday and think it may have programming installed, making about 23-25lbs of boost and pulls like a freight train. Bought from a GM dealership and noted cruise did not work and wanted it working before 350 mile drive back home, they gave it a try stating brake switch was bad but that didn't fix the problem, got on this site and searched, had 2 of the three third brake lights out, no fix, unhooked battery for about 30 minutes, fixed it, thanks guys for your help. Now to get the turn signals to cancel.

Welcome, it's probably just the lever. Pretty cheap part and easy to replace.

Thanks for the part number, I watched the repair video of this but I think I will opt for a new one.

the link he posted is to crateenginedepot. They are a vendor on here. It's a dealership selling at close to cost. It's new parts and has many other Cobalt related items as well. It's one of the best places in the country to buy GM parts.
